I stood there. Unable to move as he pulled away, retreating to his car. He turned around, glancing at me, before climbing in his car and leaving. I reached up touching my lips with the tips of my fingers. His lips had been so close to mine, I could feel his breath on them. I watched as his car disappeared, seemingly being swallowed by the rain. I felt paralyzed. I couldn’t move, I just kept staring down the street where the rain had swallowed up his car.   "Miss? Are you ok?"   I jumped, turning around to see the door man standing there. I nodded and walked in, shaking off the umbrella. I walked into the elevator, leaning up against the back wall.
