I chewed on his words for a moment, letting the taste of the sandwich relish on my taste buds before slowly setting it down. I turned my full body towards him now, crossing my legs. “Fine. How did you get those scars?” I asked. My gaze softened. It must have been a sensitive topic for him, but I can tell it was something he wanted to talk about.
