A low, rhythmic grunting sound that echoed from above, followed by the faint creak of metal. I froze. I might have used this space a lot, but I realize I’ve never actually gone upstairs before—never had a reason to. But curiosity tugged at me now. Luke was always there. Did he perhaps live here? Slowly, I made my way toward the top floor, my footsteps quiet. But when I reached the top, my breath hitched. Luke was there. Or at least I thought it was him. The guy had his back turned to me and I couldn’t get a good view of his face. Unable to hold back my curiosity, I quietly crept up from behind. And the closer I got, the more I realized it really was him. It was Luke, and he was shirtless. My cheeks burned a bright shade of red as my eyes traveled down the length of his body, it glistene
