His warrior Luna

Chapter 3

    I woke up to my alarm going off in the morning. I attempted to roll over to shut it off but found myself unable to move and felt tingles running along my side and around my stomach. I moved the blankets and realized I was being held in place by an arm that belonged to none other than my mate. I tried to remove his arm so I could just my alarm off. Instead, he pulled me in closer and refused to let me go. I tried to fight him off by wiggling out of his grip. It was long until I felt my mates shaft standing at attention. I immediately froze and turned bright red. Xavier let out a deep chuckle and released me. I jumped out of bed to shut the alarm off and ran into my bathroom to take a shower before I had to meet my dad for training. I ran through my morning routine jumped out of the shower grabbed my robe, and quickly blow dried my hair and tossed it in a ponytail. I turned around and froze I forgot to grab my clothes before running into the bathroom and I had left Xavier laying in my bed. I pulled my robe tighter around my body and peeked my head out the door to see Xavier still laying down under the covers. I tossed the door open and rushed into my closet. I noticed Xavier raise his head in my direction and smirk. As I was getting dressed I could here him up and moving around. He must be getting ready as well. I quickly grabbed a dark blue pair of spandex and tossed on a hot pink tank top, then grabbed a pair of my trainers. I already knew I was going to be late. I walked out of my closet and sat down at my vanity to put my shoes on quickly. I jumped up and Xavier caught me before I could run out of the room.

                I looked up at Xavier his hair was disarray from sleeping. He had gotten dressed, in a black t-shirt and dark blue basketball shorts. “Where are you running off to in such a hurry little one?” I gave him a quick kiss “I am due to meet my dad for training this morning, I’m actually running a bit behind.” Xavier nuzzled into my neck and inhaled my scent. “hmm I’ll be coming with you this morning to training, and I will take care of your dad. I think he will understand why we are running slightly behind schedule.” I laughed at that knowing my dad and he does except any kind of excuse for being late to training. “Ok, but we need to hurry. We can’t be to late though, he’s pretty strict about my training regime.”

                When we reached our private training ring, I could see my dad speaking to a guy I didn’t recognize. Xavier could see my confusion. When we got closer the guy turned to greet Xavier. “Alpha, Luna, good morning.” Xavier looked at me “Bella, this is Jake my beta. When we are done this morning, he will be heading back to the Black Shadow territory, to watch over the pack until we return.” I turned back to Jake a shook Jake’s hand “Nice to meet you, Jake. I look forward to getting to know each other.” Jake was tall like Xavier, roughly 6ft 5. He had dark brown hair cut short, with deep chocolate eyes.

                My dad jumped right into training this morning. I was able to do a quick stretch before he started throwing punches. Which I was quickly able to dodge. I knew I was running behind this morning, but he wasn’t holding back any punches. I was able to dodge most of the blows. After a blow to my side, I stumbled backwards, and before I could steady myself, he shot in and swiped my feet from underneath me. As I landed with an oof; it caught Xavier and Jake’s attention. As they were sparring at the other end of the ring. They made their way over to watch my sparring match with my dad.

My dad kept coming at me hard. As I was warming up, I was able to block more of his blows and land my own on him. At a final blow I was able to pin him on the ground and end the match. I was breathing hard. This was for sure one of the toughest sessions we have had. Xavier and Jake had been observing the match and talking amongst themselves.

As I stood up, I held my hand out to assist my dad to stand, and noticed he was smiling. “Very good my dear daughter you truly are skilled” He stated smirking. I glanced back at him and smiled “The best in the pack. Although in your old age you may just be getting slower” I shot back. I can’t help but give him sh**.

Xavier and Jake came over as we were bickering back and forth. “Good to see I have a strong Luna. Not many can beat an Alpha. Even if it was in just a training match. Are you sure you didn’t let her win Alpha Max?” Xavier chuckled. My dad just shook his head he wouldn’t admit it but he was proud of me. He always knew there was going to be a day that I would beat him. Alpha Max looked up at Xavier and had the biggest grin. “No Xavier, I could never let her win. She is a very talented warrior, my best by far. She has been training in both human form and wolf form since she was only 12 yrs old.” Xavier looked up at his mate’s father and then at Bella. “Are you saying Bella shifted when she was only 12 yrs old?” It was Bella’s turn to grin; she was proud of herself for being an early shifter even if wasn’t the best of circumstances. Bella Then went into the details of that faithful day.

                As Isabella explained what happened Xavier was in complete awe of his little mate. She really was something extraordinary. Most Alphas don’t shift until they are 16, for her wolf to speak to her and shift in the same day is remarkable. He knows she will change is whole life.

                After the morning training session, they all headed back to the pack house to get cleaned up. And grab some lunch. After lunch Jake was to head back to the Black Shadow pack to keep an eye on the pack until Xavier and Bella could join them. He was also to take the first load of Isabella’s belongings and prep Xavier’s bedroom that will also suit his Luna.

                Later that evening Bella was called down to the common room, when she walked in she saw Xavier with 2 guys that looked like brothers. Xavier brought me over and introduced me to them. “Isabella this is Shawn my Gamma, and his brother Alex, my third. Shawn will be your bodyguard, when I’m not with you, he will be.” I looked over at the boys and smiled. “Nice to meet you both, I look forward getting to know you better.” Shawn was a tall 6ft 4 in, with blonde shaggy hair, deep blue eyes. Alex was as tall as Shawn was with dusty blonde hair and hazel eyes.  As I shook their hands, they the dipped their head in respect “Luna” they said together.

Shawn looked back at me “It’s my pleasure to watch over you Luna, I will protect you with my life.” With that Xavier dismissed the brothers to return to patrol around the area.

The next few days went by in a blurr. Before I knew it, we were loading my stuff up in my truck preparing to leave. I was really nervous to move to the Black Shadow Pack. Xavier has been by my side the whole time we have been here, helping me pack my room. He has taken a few meetings with my dad during the day while I was at school. My high school graduation was fast tracked this week, so I could leave with my diploma before moving, beats going to a new school for a month.

As I was grabbing a few bags from my room Alex, Xavier’s third walked in my room. “Morning Luna, Xavier sent me up to help grab your bags so we can get going by 8:30. Shawn will Be up as soon as he can get away from the girls in the kitchen” I looked at Alex questioningly “what do you mean? Don’t tell me he’s giving them a hard time.” Alex burst out laughing “oh I may have planted a bug in their ear that our dear Gamma thought one of them was super cute. So now they are trying to figure out which one he likes haha. They have him cornered by the pantry” I giggled a bit “That poor guy those girls can be relentless. He may never get out of there!” he gave me a sly smirk “yea, I know! It’s payback for telling your group of warriors that I thought they were pansy’s so they all ganged up on me during a training session” I couldn’t hold the laugh back at that one. “You know I think I have been the only one to get away talking to them like that, but that’s because I have beat most of them in sparing matches when I was 16.” At that Alex spun around to look at me shocked. “Wait, you beat them in sparring matches at 16? How is that possible? I trained with your warriors; you have some pretty strong wolves in your group. I think you owe me a sparring match when we get back to our territory.” I giggled “Deal! As long as you don’t take it easy one me! I want to beat you fair and square!” Shawn walked in, in time to hear our deal “Luna is so going to kick you’re a**, you don’t even know what you just got yourself into. You deserve it though after that stunt downstairs but it’s ok because I gave them your phone number haha. On the other hand, watching Luna kick you’re a** in a match will be just as good! I’ve heard you are quite talented in the ring there Luna, nobody but your brother the future Alpha and your dad will spare with you! Not even the current or future Beta!” Looking at Shawn and Alex Bicker back and forth made me giggle maybe this move wasn’t going to be so bad after all. “Yes, it’s true, I only spare with Matt and my dad. Everyone else gets embarrassed. But please call me Isabella or Bella. You two are hilarious to watch, you must be very close.” Shawn nodded “Yea, we are. Alex is only younger by a year, we tend to keep Alpha on his toes as well being the pranksters around the pack house as you can tell.” I agreed “Oh yea I hear that! How did it go in the kitchen with the she wolves?” before Shawn could answer we heard a howl. Shawn looked at me “Xavier is getting impatient wondering what is taking so long with bringing the bags down. We better hurry with the rest so we can get you home” I nodded as we all grabbed the remaining bags in my room.

                As we reached the truck My mom Luna Mia was talking with Xavier handing him a few bags to put in the back seat. She gave him a quick hug, “You keep my little girl safe now. We love her very much around here.” Xavier smiled at me “I sure will. She will be safe in my territory.” Mom agreed and turned to me with tears in her eyes “We will miss you so much. Keep in touch, call or text when you get to the Shadow Black Shadow packhouse and all settled in. We love you” She gave me a big hug, kissed me on the cheek and walked to my father as he wrapped an arm around her. Tory was next she was a crying mess already “Don’t forget to call or text every day with updates. I want all the juicy gossip about your life at your new home. You will be a kick a** Luna!” She backed up enough for Matt to come over to give me a quick hug “Take care of yourself. Kick some a** during training at Black Shadow, Show them who’s their Luna.” He turned to shake Xavier’s hand “You take care of my sister, or I will have to kick you’re a**.” Xavier nodded “I will” My father was last he gave me a big hug and stepped back to my mom “Don’t forget to keep up with your training. I’m sure Xavier can show you some more moves and will make you even stronger. You were born a fierce Luna. You are strong and don’t you forget it. Xavier, make sure she continues her training, she is a great warrior, and I believe with you she can reach her greatest potential.” Xavier looked down and me with adoration in his eyes “Thank you Alpha. I intend to take your advice. She will make my pack even stronger. I will keep her safe, I know she can hold her own, but she will never have to worry about that. We should be off though it is a long drive back to the mountains, and I would like to be back by tomorrow morning.”

My mom teared up a bit more “we love you; I had the staff pack a few snack bags with your favorites, with some drinks and sandwiches for the road for when you get hungry. I also gave your Gamma and third a couple bags for there their vehicle.” She gave me one last hug before I climbed into the passenger side of my truck. Xavier shut the door and walked around to jump in the driver’s seat.  I waved goodbye to my family and friends as we pulled away. I couldn’t help but think of the one person that didn’t show up to see me off. Then I spotted beau standing back by the tree line. He had a tear running down his cheek with a hurt look on his face, as he turned to walk into the woods, I thought I saw something in his eyes that I’d never seen before. He looked pi***ed, almost wild. But I had to have been mistaken. He was never the one to get mad, it had to have been the lighting or just being tired. So I brushed it off.

I turned back to Xavier as he was focusing on the road with Shawn and Alex following in a Range Rover. “Are you hungry? We didn’t get to eat before we left.” He looked over briefly “Sure, are you going to feed me?” I had reached back to grab one of the insulated bags. His question took me briefly off guard I didn’t know how to respond. So I continued to search the bag and found some breakfast sandwiches made with fresh croissants. I pulled out two and unwrapped the first one. Seeing as He was driving, I decided to go along with his offer and held the sandwich up to his mouth to take a bite.

Xavier let out a deep chuckle “I didn’t think you were actually going to do it.” As he took a big bite his bottom lip grazed my thumb leaving a trail of tingles. I pulled my hand back and let him finish chewing, before holding it back up being careful to hold my hand out of the way this time.

I was so hungry my stomach was started to grumble. So, I unwrapped the second sandwich as Xavier was finishing his up and took a bite of my own. I couldn’t help but let a small moan at how good the fresh bread tasted. At that Xavier let out a low growl “I should be the only one making you moan like that my little mate” I immediately turned bright red and tried to hide my face. Xavier let out a deep laugh. I could listen to that laugh all day long It gave me a strange feeling, and made my lotus wet for him. Xavier inhaled my scent before his eyes became dark and filled with lust. “If you keep this up little mate we will have to pull over while I take care of you here in the truck.” I didn’t think it was possible, but I turned even redder and hid my face.

I woke up the next morning to the sun rising over the mountains, it was a beautiful site. I was in complete awe. I looked over at Xavier “How long until we reach your pack’s territory?” He looked over at me and smiled “We are already in our territory. It’s your pack now to my little mate. We will reach the pack house in roughly 15 min.” I was awestruck, the view was gorgeous here. I couldn’t believe this was going to be my new home.

As we drove through the little town Xavier pointed out the daycare, pack hospital, training grounds and a few other buildings. Everything looked so nice here, newer updated buildings, nothing like I imagined the blood thirsty Black Shadow pack to be. I was looking forward to settling into my pack. Skyla purred in agreement. She couldn’t wait to be able to explore the mountain side.

Soon we pulled up to a big building Xavier shut the engine off “This is our pack house. Right now, roughly 25 single wolves live here now. When they find their mate or decide to build their own place they will move out.” Looking at the massive building in front of me I was in awe the pack house was almost double the size of the one back at the Sapphire pack.

                As soon as we started getting out of the truck Jake walked out of the pack house. “How was your trip, Luna? Hope it wasn’t too long for you.” I gave him a big smile “It was great, I slept most the way. This view is gorgeous!” The boys laughed at my excitement “yea, the view never gets old. Wait until you see the sunset tonight.” Alex said as he carried my bags inside. That sounded like a view I would love to see! Maybe I could talk Xavier into a run this evening and watch the sunset together.
