His warrior Luna

Chapter 2

    Once I got up to my room, I set the dress bags on my bed and pulled both dresses out of the bag and hung them up on the hook next to my floor length mirror. I pulled out my nail polish and painted my finger and toenails, before pulling out my books and finishing the rest of my homework.

After putting my books away, I set out the jewelry I planned to wear tonight, setting them on my vanity.  Along with setting my strappy silver heels under my dress. I jumped in the shower soaping up my hair with my favorite cucumber melon shampoo, conditioner and body scrub. I soaked up some of the steam, taking a relaxing breath before getting ready. Shutting off the water I tossed my hair up in a towel and wrapping up my body. I cleaned my face with rosewater and brushed my teeth. I quickly applied some moisturizer, then grabbed my melon lotion and rubbed it in making sure my legs were silky smooth. I grabbed my robe before taking the towel off my hair and thoroughly blow drying my curly dark hair.

After I combed out my hair and tossing a headband on to do my makeup I sat down at my vanity and took a deep breath. Tory would be up in roughly 45 minutes to do my hair. Due to my natural tan skin, I didn’t need to use any foundation. So, I started on my smoky eye with silver glitter winged eye liner, and mascara adding a highlight and deep maroon lipstick to finish off the look.

                I could hear cars starting to pull in. knowing my dad arranged a few meetings prior to the party to discuss the alliance contracts. After the meetings I was to be introduced to the Alpha’s in my dad’s office. I pulled my dress out of the bag and slipped it on before Tory got here. It was a sexy Silver and black sequence part dress. It fit my body perfectly and showed off my long muscular legs and hugged my curves in all the right areas. I glanced at the clock it was already 7 Tory should be here any minute.

                Tory lightly knocked on my door before entering. I could see she had showered and ready, just needed her dress on. I sat back down at my vanity so she could do what she wanted with my hair. Tory went to work immediately, combing out my hair. She added a few perfectly placed curls, and added a braided crown, pinned and the curls she let loose to fall around my shoulders. As always se did an amazing job. When we finished up Tory walked over to grab her dress it was a sexy little red dress in the same style as my own. It matched her bright red lipstick she looked stunning. Her heals matched her dress. We took a quick selfie to commemorate this night and headed downstairs.

                As we started to descend the stairs, I quickly linked my dad “Hey we are our way down” he quickly replied “OK, come straight to my office we just finished our meeting.” As we reached the bottom of the stairs, I was awestruck there were lights were hung all around the house, you could hear the DJ starting to play from the back yard. I looked over at Tory letting her know I would catch up with her later, I had to go to my dad’s office to do the meet and greet. I took a big breath preparing myself to meet all the Alphas. It was in that deep breath that I smelled an alluring scent but had to get to the office before searching for the scent.

                It didn’t take long until I realized the closer, I got to my dad’s office the stronger the scent was becoming. Layla was on alert now going crazy howling out “what is wrong with you? Settle down before we get in there.” She was excited about something just was not sure what yet. When I reached the office door I knocked as my father instructed me to enter.  As I walked inside, I was overwhelmed now by the smell of sandal wood and the smell of a thunderstorm. My eyes quickly swept over the room when I locked eyes with what had to be the sexiest man, I have ever laid eyes on. He had black hair with bright green eyes that I couldn’t look away from they drew me in and held no promise of me escaping them any time soon. I watched this mysterious man stand up and walk over to me, this man was easily 6ft 6inches, to my short stature of only 5ft 5 inches.

My father walked over to us, “Isabella meet Alpha Xavier Black, Alpha of the Black Shadow Pack.” I immediately felt my heart drop. How could I have such a ruthless mate. Why would the moon Goddess do this to me? Layla was so giddy she didn’t care how he was perceived; all she knew was that we found our mate! Before I could think I ran. I ran as fast as I could into the woods to my spot. The swimming hole where so long ago I had my first shift. As I reached my favorite rock It wasn’t long before a someone stepped out of the shadows. As he walked forward into the moonlight, I could see it was none other than Xavier. As he reached me, I could hear others running after us. As they reached the clearing, and I could here Matt snarl loudly at Xavier In which only made him take a protective stance in front of me with an arm wrapped around my waist snarling back “Stay away from my mate.” Matt was taken off guard, he looked at me questioningly then turned to our father. “Dad is this true? Is Isabella really his mate?” Matt asked. Our dad looked downward before looking at me and replying “yes, It’s true. I saw it with my own eyes when we were in my office. They are mates.” Matt didn’t want to believe his little sister could possibly be mated to the ruthless bloodthirsty Alpha. He turned and ran back to the pack house without saying another word. When Matt was upset it was best to leave him alone. My dad announced to everyone in the circle watching “Let’s all go back to the house to celebrate and give them a minute Plenty of food and drinks to go around!”

                Everyone started filtering out of the clearing heading back to the pack house. As soon as everyone had left, it was just us left in the clearing. Xavier walked around me scanning my body. “Why did you run?” his voice was deep, it did things to me that I’ve never felt before. When I managed to reply it came out shakier than I meant it to. “I was taken off guard. I wasn’t expecting to find my mate tonight, let alone an alpha with a reputation.” He seemed to ponder my response as he came up, bent his head into the crook of my neck and inhaled a deep breath inhaling my scent and asked, “So how do you feel about being mated to the ruthless Alpha?” Skyla was going crazy in my head purring at the close contact with our mate. Before I could answer is question Xavier wrapped one of his muscular arms around my waste while pushing a strand of my hair behind my ear with the other. I couldn’t help but lean into his touch and let out a content sigh. Everywhere he was touching I could feel tingles. As he ran his hand up my back and the other down to my hip as he inhaled my scent. I had my eyes closed just enjoying the moment, I was inhaling the smell of sandalwood and thunderstorm. I was on cloud nine. I didn’t realize what he was doing as he leaned back in until I could feel his soft lips being pressed against my own.

                He grabbed me under my butt lifting me up. I wrapped my legs around his hips as he continued his attack on my lips; he tasted amazing I didn’t want this moment to end. He walked us backwards until my back was against a large rock. He trailed kisses down from my lips down my neck to the spot where he would one day mark me. Sucking and kissing, as I dug my nails into his back, with one hand and the other was gripping his hair on the back of his head.

                Before things could go any further, my dad mind linked asking for us to come back to his office. I had completely forgot I was the guest of honor tonight, and I was still expected to do a meet and greet with the Alphas. I broke the kiss, gently pushing back on Xavier’s chest. Catching my breath, I told Xavier “We are expected back at the pack house. I still need to greet the rest of the Alphas along with the rest of my guests.” Xavier inhaled my scent again before he set me back down on my feet and took a step back fixing his hair that I had just been running my fingers through. I took this moment to really look at my mate.

Xavier took a step back. I took this moment to admire my mate. He was dressed up in a black suit that fit him just right. You could see the muscles on his chest rippling through the white shirt he has under neath and tattoos peeking out from under his shirt. What really caught my attention were his bright green eyes. I could get lost in those intoxicating eyes.

He seemed to notice me checking him out. I was pulled out from my daze by his deep voice. “You like what you see little mate?” I immediately turned bright red and turned away from him. He chuckled lightly before I felt the tingles under my chin as he turned my head back to look at him. As he looked down at me with a slightly crooked grin “You can look all you want little mate. I belong to you now. You will be the perfect Luna” as he kissed me one last time before we turned to head back to the pack house. As we were walking back, I realized I had kicked off my shoes as I had run out of the house. My feet were getting coated with dirt and grass. Xavier noticed me trying to clean my feet and picked me up bridal style and carried me back to the house.

                When we reached the house Xavier set me down. Everyone that was outside seemed to be cheering and congratulating us as we walked back into the house. Tory ran up to me and gave me a big hug before I was tugged out of her arms into Xavier’s as he let out a warning growl. Tory took a step back and showed her neck in submission. I turned to Xavier and held his cheek in my hand “It’s ok, she’s one of my best friends. She’s like a sister to me. She would never hurt me. We are going to go get cleaned up and be right back. He gave me a slight nod before we turned around and headed back to my room.

As we reached the stairs Beau caught up with us and asked, “what the hell is up with that guy?” Tory was quick to respond, “That would be the notorious Alpha Xavier Black, who happens to be Bella’s mate” Beau turned to me with hurt in his eyes “Is that true? Is he your mate?”  He looked like he wanted to cry. “Yes, it’s True. Alpha Xavier is my mate. You will find your mate one day too beau” I felt bad for him I knew he had always had a crush on me and hoped we would be mates. He has tried to ask me out a few times with being turned down each time. We were always close but were better just as friends. He knew I was waiting for my mate. Beau was about to give me a hug as we heard a wall shaking growl. I knew right away where it came from. Xavier stormed over and pushed me behind him, he was radiating his Alpha aura. Immediately beau shrunk backwards showing his neck apologizing before he walked away. I knew mates could be territorial, and Alphas were known to be worse, but I was annoyed that he would act this way towards my friends. I pulled out of Xavier’s grip and continued upstairs to my room to get cleaned up. I didn’t need to look behind me to know Xavier was following me upstairs. I quickly mind linked Tory “I’ll be ok, can you check on Beau? I know he’s upset about me finding my mate, and Xavier chasing him off didn’t help.” She quickly responded “Yup! He is pretty torn up about you and Xavier. I’ll try to talk to him. Good luck calming down your own beast.” I sighed inwardly “Thanks. This is going to be a learning curve for me and him alike. I’m going to get cleaned up quick and pray the rest of the night goes better.” When we got upstairs, I left my door open for Xavier and went straight into the ensuit bathroom. I quickly washed my feet, fixed my hair and make-up. As I exited the bathroom Xavier was sitting on my bed looking around, when the pictures on my memory board caught his eye. He walked over and was looking at the pictures I have taken over the years when he stopped on a picture of beau and I when we were 12. It was taken the day of the rogue attack at the swimming hole. We were in our swimsuits and laughing at something with Beau’s arm around my shoulder. I could feel the tension in the room as I walked over and grabbed Xavier’s hand and turned him towards me. I could tell he was fighting with his wolf; his normally bright green eyes were now a dark forest green on the verge of turning black. I reached up and cupped his cheek with my handmaking him look down at me. His eyes turning bright green again, as he leaned into my hand. “That picture was taken a long time ago, when we were only 12. You can’t look to much into it. We have been friends for a long time.” He tensed up again and looked down at me “I don’t like the way he looks at you. Like you were his. He likes you, I saw it in his eyes, when you confirmed you were my mate he was crushed, but there was a spark of hatred there as well. I don’t trust him.” I sighed “You have to understand there is a lot of history, he has been one of my closest friends we have been through a lot together.” I thought carefully about how to continue without upsetting him further. “Beau was with me when I first shifted to protect both of us. It was actually the day that photo was taken. I have always been very clear to everyone that I was waiting for my mate. Beau has been like a brother to me. Nothing has ever happened between us and nothing ever will. You don’t have to worry about him.” Xavier turned away and looked out the window “I trust you my little mate. I do not trust him though. You may think of him as a brother but by the way he looks at you he does not feel the same way.” As I was about to reply my father linked me that both Alpha Xavier and I were needed in his office. I needed to meet the other Alphas, so we can continue with the party and greet the rest of my guests.

                As we walked into my dad’s office everyone stood up and slightly bowed their heads. This was a sign of respect. Xavier was radiating a very strong Aura that demands it from everyone. I can feel his aura, but it doesn’t have an affect on me. He takes a seat at the end of the table opposite of my father while pulling me on his lap. “I apologize for the earlier disruption. As I’m sure you know by now, I have found my mate and Luna to my pack. We may continue so we can get back to celebrating my mate’s birthday!” My dad Cleared his throat as he began “I’d like to introduce you all to my daughter and birthday girl Isabella. As you all have witnessed Isabella has found her mate in Alpha Xavier.” I knew Xavier wasn’t going to allow me to shake hands with the other Alpha’s, so I nodded to the Alphas in recognition. “Alphas thank you for being here tonight to celebrate not only my birthday but finding my mate as well.”

After officially greeting the Alphas, my father dismissed the room to go enjoy the party and eat lots of food. We were on our way out when we were stopped. “Isabella, Xavier I would like a word with you two.” He waited for everyone to leave before closing the door. “I owe you both a congratulations. I knew Bella was destined for something great, I know she will make you an amazing Luna Xavier. With that I hope she will continue her training. She is a fierce warrior by far my best in my pack. She can take out my Beta without breaking a sweat. We will be sad to see her go. With that being said when do you plan to leave? I’m sure your pack will be eager to meet their Luna” The moment I was worried about has come. I will have to leave everything I know behind, all my friends and family, all my memories growing up. I knew the day was coming. I had a feeling I would be mated to an Alpha with how strong I was. Xavier could sense how nervous I had become as he looked down at me sitting on his lap and gave me a squeeze holding me tighter to him in reassurance. “We will stick around for a couple days to give Isabella time to pack up her belongings and say goodbye to her friends; then we will head home. I will send my Beta Jake home tomorrow to keep watch over the pack, my Gamma, and third will stay here with us, until we head home.” My father looked content with that answer. “Ok, well Bella I say it’s time you make an appearance at your own party, along with introducing your mate. Don’t overdo it tonight I still expect you in the training ring tomorrow say 9 a.m.?” I felt Skyla roll her eyes “It’s our birthday party tonight and we found our mate tonight and he can’t give us one morning off?” I giggled at her antics “you know we didn’t get as good as we are by him going easy on us and giving us a morning off after a rough night” Skyla agreed with me but still wasn’t happy.
