I stared at my phone screen, longing for a beep.
" You will be fine," Piper's voice cut into my thoughts. I forced a smile and turned it off. " I don't know if I will ever see him again."
" Piper, I promised him that I will come back for him. Right now, I don't know when that's going to be." My voice trembled.
He grunted, and crossed his chest. " I swear it to you. Whatever it takes, I will make sure Christian reunites with you..."
A smile crept up my lips. My eyes misted. I heard him gulp and removed his palm from his chest.
" I can't say anything concerning Roman," he said, voice low and grave.
" Can't you tell me what you want to do? I could help."
He chuckled. " Nahh!"
