Chapter Eleven The Shed All locked up and nowhere to go In the past belly dancing had given me the strength to leave my old life and my ex. There is nothing more empowering than performing in front of a rugby team’s night out or a hen do with people half your age cheering you on, buying you drinks and asking you back. Being wanted after a performance is so empowering, especially when you are using a body too old for procreating.
