Without even looking at the screen to confirm the caller's identity, she answered the call, and a warm, sweet voice greeted her on the other end.

"Hello," the voice said, instantly recognizable to Alana. A smile spread across Alana's face as she realized who was calling. "Hi, Charles," she replied, feeling a flutter of excitement in her chest. And the conversations continued

Alana: "So, Dr. Ferguson, tell me, what's your favorite thing about being an OB/GYN?"

Charles: "Oh, that's easy. It's the opportunity to help bring new life into the world and support

Women through some of the most important moments of their lives."

Alana: "That's so beautiful. You must have some incredible stories."

Charles: "I do, indeed. But enough about me. What about you, Alana? What do you do when you're not

busy crashing into handsome strangers on the street?"

Alana: laughs "Well, I work in marketing for a tech company. It's not as noble as saving lives, but I

like to think I'm making a difference in my own way."

Charles: "I have no doubt you are. And I have to say, you're quite good at crashing into strangers. It's

how we met, after all."

Alana: "I suppose I do have a talent for it. But I'm glad I crashed into

you. It's been the highlight of my week."

Charles: "Mine too, Alana. Mine too."

The call ended and the retired for the night.
