The meat deal

The team have finally reached the site where the fight had taken place a few days ago. They look around, sand and dunes everywhere. Very little cover at best. Mannic is sniffing the air. An odd smell is everywhere. Mayson is the first to find someting they can use. "Look what I found!" she yells. The rest of the team comes over. "Witchcraft!" They signs. This isn´t good at all. "But why take 3 teams of soldiers, all humans and Gods know how many enemies?!" Ask Oakland, the youngest of the team "The kid is right, it doesn´t make sence!" Mark says annoyed that he agrees with the kid. 

Kim looks around: "You think you can make it reverse the portal they used? Maybe we can take them by surprise this time around!" She looks at Lolland and Oakland. They look down, nods and get to work while the others get ready for whatever is on the other side of the portal. Jackson and Mannic stand next to Kim they look at her worried. "What?!" she snarls. "You had a nightmare when we were on the plan. Are you alright?!" LT Mannic asks. She stops with getting her gear on. She puts her hands down still holding on to the vest they all have on. She signs. "I saved a girl from being r**e and her face. I just can´t get it out of my mind. I know we have seen it all, mass r**e, killings, tourture of all kinds but this... I see her face everytime I close my eyes!" Kim puts her head between her legs as she suddently feels sick to her stomack. "I heard it was Sergeant Shane Lynlys sister who got attacked!" Hunnican says. "Maybe that´s why her face gets to you. It reminds you of when we saved him", Holly says. Kim signs hoping they are right. They saved Tischas brother a while back. They have the same eyes and facial expression. Maybe..

The soldiers wake up in a dark cellar or basement. They are all stripped naked and they are in restrains but only their hands. They look around and finds that everyone is there. "Where the hell are we?" finally someone asks. "I have no idea. Anyone remember how we got here?" Someone else asks. The men tries to figure out where they are and what is holding them up. They can´t see the ceiling, a suddent pull makes them all stand up on their toes as the restrains are being pulled up. They hang their like meat in the butchers marked. They have no idea of what is going on.

Suddently the door to the room is slammed open. The sound makes the soldiers jiggle as they sence the danger. A giant man comes in he looks around the men all hanging naked in front of him. He looks down on a tablet with their faces, names, rank, everything on it. He smiles. He takes one step towards one of the officers when something catches his attention to to his left. He looks and is startle to see an arrow pointing right at his head. Out of a portal a team appears. The soldier signs in relief. The recue team is here. The person holding the arrow gets out of the portal. The giant looks at a tiny woman. He recognize her as being Angel. He looks down. He knows what he did is wrong but he needs fresh meat. And these guys well they are what he needs to feed his family. 

Mannic looks at the soldiers as they get them down one by one. They are all fine but scared when they learn they were about to be someones meal. They get them dressed while Mayson and Angel are talking with the giant. Jackson and Lolland tries to figure out how the giant got the portal to work in the first place. The giant tells the ladies that he got it from a witch who sold some beans to him so he could get fresh meat when ever he wanted to. The ladies knows the witch all to well. She has been causing a lot of trouble over the years but this is the first time it is so serious and could have gone horriably wrong. 

"If you promise never ever to do that again, I will get you and your family enough fresh meat so you never have to hunt innocent humans again? Do you promise?!" Mayson reach out her hand to the giant who looks up at the ladies with tears running down his cheek. He nods and says "I promise!" He shakes Mayson hand so it feel like its being torn from her body. He hugs Angel so tight that she can´t barely breathe. "Oh so sorry. I often forget that I am bigger than you!" The two ladies smiles while catching their breath and get to their feet again. Angel nods to the men to get the soldier into the plane. Before she turns around to face the giant one last time, she say a little payer: "Dear Moon Goddess, please take good care of this man and his family. Let them live happily ever after. A life filled with love, compassion and respect. Thank you for keeping my team safe." She turns to face the giant and hands him the deal that will ensure that the council will provide fresh meat for the family as long as they live.

The plane takes off. Suddently the ladies are faced with some very hungry eyes on their bodies. They look at one another and smile. Shaking their heads while they state at the same time: "MINDFOG NOW!" Lolland and Oakland do their trick and makes the soldier go to sleep. They all laugh in relief that it went so well and that they can bring everyone home safely. "We need to take care of that witch!" states Holly annoyed.
