I stretched my neck and eased my breathing for the second time. Slowly, I exhaled and inhaled. I did this for several seconds to rest my mind and body. Then I called to my essence and with promise, it answered. This time as I had never experienced, it appeared gentle and soft as a white dove. Slowly, it feathered its way to the surface. I opened my eyes and surprise consumed me as a bright glow radiated from my hand. It was warm like a blanket spreading its mystical caress throughout the Cajun’s body. I focused on its soothing touch and after a few minutes, his eyes popped open with a gasping breath.
