Tye and Ansley had started spending all of there extra time together. Tye hadn’t ever been happier. Ansley seemed to reciprocate his feelings. She never seemed to stop smiling when they were together and Tye didn’t think he had either. Ansley had even gone along on a couple camping trips at the lake. She had spent a lot of time at Tye’s house as well. She fit in so well with Tye’s friends and family. And Tye had even gotten to know Ansley’s Grandmother quite well. Ansley had been raised by her grandmother. So, it was important that he get to know her grandmother because she was important to Ansley, and therefore important to Tye. Everything had been so perfect lately and Tye hated that the summer had come to an end. Before they knew it was time to go back to college and Ansley had been set to go to a University closer to her Grandmother house so they would have to go back to seeing each other on the weekends, which neither of them liked but they agreed to make it work until after graduation when they would move in together.
Tye had seen Ansley on the previous Sunday, so technically not even a full day had passed but he already missed her. He wasn’t exactly looking forward to starting classes or anything else that kept him from Ansley, but then he figured that she would be in class anyway and he should make the best of it because the faster they got through each semester the better because that would put them closer to graduation and being together. He was walking across the campus to his class when he heard someone say his name, but it didn’t sound like just anyone, it sounded like Ansley. But how could that be? She would be getting ready to go to class herself. In fact, he knew she was because he had been texting her all morning. Then he got a text from her that said look up. He looked up to see Ansley across the yard from him. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. She smiled her radiant smile and ran into his arms and hugged him and laughed. He asked her how it was possible that she was there. She smiled and pulled out a schedule and room assignment and handed it to him. He looked it over to find that she was enrolled at his school! He couldn’t believe it. He asked her how? He thought she was already enrolled at the other school and she said she had been, but her Grandmother knew how unhappy it had made her and allowed her to enroll at his school instead. But there was a condition to her grandmother’s deal. She had made her promise that they would come for Sunday dinner every Sunday until they graduated, and she would do shared holidays between Tye’s family and her Grandmother. Tye could more than live with that. He was so elated. This semester couldn’t get any better.
They seemed to get through the semester fast and kept their word to Ansley’s Grandmother and went to her house for Sunday dinner every week. Tye had come to look forward to it. He grew to love Ansley’s Grandmother. She was a wonderful lady, which didn’t surprise him because Ansley must have gotten somewhere. Not to mention the meal was always divine. Tye mother cooked really well, but Ansley’s Grandmother had mad skills in the kitchen and she always had a huge spread. There were always leftovers and she would pack them up and send them back to the dorm with Ansley and then they would have them for lunch because let’s face it… those meals were far better than anything they could get at the campus. Most weekends they would spend at least part of Saturday hanging out with Tye’s friends and usually ate dinner at Tye’s house. His family absolutely adored Ansley, but why wouldn’t they. There was nothing not to adore in Tye’s opinion. Things had been so easy when it came to transitioning Ansley into the family and visa versa. It just seemed like it was meant to be.
Semester after semester flew by and before they knew it, it was time for graduation. Tye was happy to be spending this time with Ansley. It was awesome to be able to share these big life events with her, especially since she was such a big part of his life. She was his whole world as far as he was concerned. She had been able to double up on classes as well and able to graduate at the same time as him. He was so proud of her. And she must have been proud of him because she kept bragging about him and how well he had done, but in truth she had done just as well. But it was nice to know that he made her proud. After graduation they all went out for a celebratory dinner and even Ansley’s grandmother went. Tye and Ansley were both so happy to have everyone that they loved best all together, especially since they didn’t all get together that often given the distance that they lived apart. But when they were all together it just meshed.
Tye took a job at an architecture firm after graduation and Ansley had taken a job for the local news paper company as she had majored in journalism. Things were going great. They had moved in together and it wasn’t long before they decided to buy their own home. And it was soon after that that Tye proposed and they were married. Tye had never been so proud as when he saw her come down the isle to become his wife. He was so over joyed and filled with emotion just seeing her in her gown, but putting the ring on her finger topped even that. He couldn’t imagine how things could ever get better, until they announced the birth of their twins, Max and Megan. Max with his mother’s green eyes and dark hair and Megan with Tye’s Blue eyes and dark hair. As soon as Tye laid eyes on them he knew that besides their mother he had never seen anything so perfect or that he would ever love more. Tye couldn’t wait to see what the rest of their future together would bring. It was full of endless possibilities and hope. But Tye knew no matter what happened they would have each other and because of that everything would be just fine.
