“As you asked, I scouted the area. There seems to be a good place to launch from right across the road,” Robin tells us. Noticing the look on my face he frowns, looking from me to Shepard. “Is everything alright Ms. Rose?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I mumble, my mind numb from Shepard’s words. Robin glances again at Shepard, but doesn’t push any further.
We cross the road quickly, and hop over the flood wall, landing on the rocky sandy shore. My foot slips on the wet rocks and I let out a surprised yell. A hand quickly grabs me and holds me steady. I turn around and smile.
