I considered the man's words and thought about finding a job, however, my current goal is to find a way to go back to the present...or in this situation the "future" . I was just about to try searching for ways to look for that cave since I believe it could take me back to my time when my stomach began grumbling, I was hungry...obviously the small amount of chips I have and water won't do so I had to find a way to buy food and obviously that would be getting a job to make money for food. I began to walk around the streets aimlessly, thinking of what job I could possibly get, eventually alot of time passed, I had finished my chips and I'm left with only half my water bottle...and I still haven't found a job, judging by how the sun is setting I'm assuming it's about 5:30pm or 6:00pm...I don't even know anymore but I've been in this place since 9:00 or 10:00am. Just when I was about to give up I found a man farming I walked up to him, my notebook in my hand, I tapped him on the shoulder twice before writing on a paper that I'd tore what I want to say "Excuse me I'm deaf, are you hiring?"I lied about the deaf part but it's better than saying I don't understand spoken words. I gave the farmer the paper and a pen, he stared at the paper with confusion and shook his head then he wrote something and gave me the paper and pen "I'm sorry, I'm not hiring. You could try your luck with someone else though." I walked away after reading the paper, now I'm really feeling defeated and I'm super hungry. I continued what I was doing before, walking aimlessly ..once I got too tired I just sat down somewhere next to a wall. I tried to entertain myself by writing on the wall with my pen, I wrote in hieroglyphs.
The next day arrived and the weather was boiling hot, I was sweating profusely. No water, no food, just a pen to keep me entertained. However, one thing I do have is determination, I got up and began walking around looking for a job....but as always my luck didn't aid me with that. The day after was the same, no luck in finding a job or even a source of water. I'd gotten a few sunburns on my face due to the boiling weather, my clothes covered most of my body so I didn't get sunburns there but I was sweating nonstop...I probably smell like a pile of dog s**t right now. I still had a thread of hope so I continued looking for a job, over and over again until I passed out..
Moments later I found myself surrounded by people who were all murmuring stuff.
"Gosh..they must be commenting about my smell" I thought to myself. The sun was burning straight into my eyes so I wasn't able to open them clearly. My stomach hurts like hell and these people are just staring, have they no sympathy whatsoever..?
right in that moment a man walked past the crowd and came up to me, he was bald and he was wearing a white kilt, aswell as some leopard skin. Just as he was about to speak I painfully pulled out my notebook and wrote "I'm deaf" my hand writing looked horrible since I was in such a terrible state but thankfully he ignored that, the man read the paper after I'd ripped it out and gave it to him, I also handed him the pen and he started writing
"Oh dear you're really in a pitiful state. I'm the greatest priest in the great temple of Osiris, our God. The temple is in need of some dancers I'd found your hieroglyphs writing and I've been searching for you to give you the job. We pay generously" I smiled brightly upon reading what he'd wrote and all my exhaustion faded away, maybe my luck isn't so bad afterall? I quickly nodded then wrote on the paper again "I accept, but will I be provided a place to stay?" , I handed the paper and pen back to the priest..to be honest, it's surprising how no one has questioned me about the paper and pen so far but I'm happy about that I guess. "Yes, there are a couple of shared rooms for the dancers and singers" He gave me the paper and my face lit up, I'd really hit the jackpot.
