Chapter 10 A Dreadful Month

The next day,the day after,and so on were all the same, nothing new except me missing my present more each time and crying harder with every night, and I still haven't found the cave....actually I didn't even leave the temple since I came here due to the rules they have. We could only start going out, doing rituals and blah blah blah when we're done with the first month. I've only been here 5 days and I'm already tired of this...though I will admit that dancing here is really fun.

The dancers here are very rude but atleast they have some morals..they haven't really hurt me other than giving me dirty looks, probably since they fear their god and the judgement they'll get in the afterlife, I truly never thought the mythology and ancient religions of Egypt affected them that much, but its great since its protecting me I guess.

Days turned to weeks and the weeks finally turned to a full month. We'd finished our first month training and they took us to a room, again, Anat spoke and then came to me with a papyrus paper.

"Congrats on your first month! There's going to be a dance ritual you will perform in Thebes. It isn't that grand so don't worry but you HAVE to make it great. We will begin teaching the dance you'll all perform and we shall travel to Thebes tomorrow so you better memorise it well, and, while we're there you will get a little break to explore Thebes incase you'd like to buy anything." The only reason I was happy about this trip is that I'll get a chance to explore, meaning I could look for the cave I had came here from. Some things I'd like to note about ancient Egypt so far are; 1-the bathrooms are harder to use than the future and they're kind of inconvenient but I guess it worked out, 2- they have some things they use for periods...they're quite similar to pads but they aren't as great and 3- it's been so long since I wore the clothes I came with since when you first come here they make you change into wide plain white clothing and only when you're dancing do you wear actual pretty, decorated and kind of revealing clothing, it's honestly so beautiful though. It's also been awhile since I used my notebook but I still don't want to waste it, I'm sure I'll need it eventually.
