Chapter 3 Unknown Puzzle

411 Words
Two seconds later the tiles lit up with symbols on them, it was hieroglyphs, a painting emerged from the ground somehow and it portrayed an image. The image was of two people I know very well, Osiris, the god of the underworld, and Isis, goddess of fertility and life,..however, she was standing on a clock and she was slowly becoming a skeleton..? The image confused me more than ever. When I looked back down on the tiles it seemed to make sense I had to step on the correct tiles to make a sentence, easy enough. There were 25 tiles in total, 5 horizontal and 5 vertical ,so the sentence should be about 5 words if I choose one word from each line. I took a deep breath and checked my options to see which words I'll use; (I/he/connect/tomb/will/underground/wait/above/the/her/as/past/day/for/try/and/eighth/future/low/sixun/hide/collapse/yes/forgotten) ...all of these words are s**t, I've already thought of a couple of sentences but I don't know which one to use. I pulled out my journal again and started writing every sentence that came to mind. __________________________________________ 1- hide from the underground tomb 2- I will wait for isis 3- connect the past and future __________________________________________ I couldn't think of anything else, just when I really need it my mind just went blank. So I thought I'd try to find the sentence that made sense the most."hide from the underground tomb" seemed good since it represents what osiris was the god of, but "I will wait for isis" also seemed to make sense since they were together in the painting..however she was turning into a skeleton; meaning she's dying..so I didn't know which so go with. Then I noticed "connect the past and future" but that didn't make sense, why would it even be here? I decided to go with "I will wait for isis" it made the most sense. Before going ahead with the sentence I chose I wrote the option I'm going with in my journal then I held it tightly in one hand and my flashlight in the other. I stepped on the tiles with the hieroglyphs that represented the words I wanted to choose. I finally saw the last one "isis" I stepped on it carefully, a few seconds passed and nothing happened. "I'm safe!" I shouted in joy. But just then the ground started shaking and the tile I was on began lowering quickly as if it were falling. I closed my eyes accepting my death..
