“Jane, Mia,” Someone called for them. They lifted their faces up to look at the source to be met with Rick’s sad smile. “It’s time for the funeral.”
Mia’s eyes traveled towards her wedding dress that laid on the ground before her. The once white flowy dress was now covered with blood. The day that was supposed to be the happiest day of her life turned into a complete mess.
Memories of that fateful day came rushing into her mind resulting in tears falling down her tired face. Then she looked at Jane who barely blinked since that day and her heart cracked.
“It’s gonna be alright.” Rick hugged her while her tears fell wetting his formal suit.
