I watch Jack drive away and it's gut wrenching. Several times he had to hit the breaks hard and back up just to say good bye all over again. He looked so torn about leaving that Jack almost didn't leave. After a quick reminder that it's for his mom, he reluctantly drives away until he's out of view. I don't know what's wrong with me but my chest hurt and for some unknown reason I could tell he felt it too. Quietly, I enter my house and go up to my room. Deciding on distracting myself from any sad thoughts, I take out a book from my shelf and start to read. The days after Jack left were sad ones.
