MY ROOMMATE EPISODE 1 WRITTEN BY LOVETH FREEBORN

CHAPTER ONE

Dave was sitting alone in the sitting room reading a book before her aunty walked in happily, Dave noticed it, he smile as he dropped the book to asked his aunty.

"Aunty, this one you're blushing, what's the secret?", he asked his aunty who sit down happily.

His aunty looked at him excited and asked" guess what?". She didn't even allow Dave to respond and she just voice it out "Kelvin proposed", she said happily and Dave pretend to be happy so his aunty wouldn't noticed "oh! wow! congratulations", he said feeling bad but managed to hide it. "alright, let me go upstairs and freshing up", she said and left.

Dave felt his world crashing before his very own eye but he couldn't even do anything. He felt if he say anything bad about his aunty marrying Kelvin, they may just asked him the usual question" are you going to marry Aunty caro". He just decided to keep calm and watch everything.

It was 7:30am in the morning and Dave was already in the kitchen making breakfast, which aroma wake Aunty caro who was still sleeping, she woke up to check her time, hissed and stand up from her bed. She went to meet him in the kitchen.

"you're already cooking this early", Aunty Carol said yawing. "Good morning aunty, yes oo, I need to eat", Dave said. "you need to get a job, don't forget that you're a man Dave, remember you're 25 years old, you're an adult now and not a baby Dave", she said angrily. "I know Aunty,.I don't need stress please and please can you drop this topic already, i need to concentrate while cooking so I wouldn't add sugar instead of salt", he said looking at his aunty smiling. "alright", she said and left. "thanks aunty", he said and continue cooking.

Dave was eating calmly, his Aunty came from her room dressed up, Dave was surprised "Hmm Aunty, you will not eat", He asked surprised. "Nah, I'm late already, later please", she said and left in a hurry as his phone ring. "okay", he said and continue his food calmly.

CHAPTER TWO

Aunty caro came back from work and meet his sitting room empty and the doors opened. She was shocked "where could Dave have went to", she said and went to check Dave room and met him sleeping, she wake him up "Dave, are you okay?", she asked angrily. "oh! aunty, you're back", he said, "no! why do you left all the doors opened without locking them, I've you forgetting this is an estate for God's sake?", she asked angrily.

"I'm so sorry aunty, I slept off", he said "It wouldn't repeat itself again "it better not", she said angrily and left.

Dave couldn't slept, he just rest his head and Starred at his phone looking for some movies "boring", he said and drop his phone,he remembered how he was an happy man when he was dating his girlfriend before they broke up, tears drop from his eyes, he wipe them and lay down, he later slept off again.

Aunty Carolina woke up the next day, checked his time, he took his bath, dressed up and went to the sitting room, he couldn't find Dave, he went to his room, he still couldn't find him. She decided to check the living room upstairs, he saw him pressing his laptop

"I've been looking all over for you", she said. "Good morning aunty", he greeted as he observe her properly "going on a morning date, I guess, anyways today is Saturday". "how do you know?", she asked. "I just guess", he said "I will just be on my way, make sure you lock the front door", she said and left. Dave watch his aunty walked away and he continue what he was doing on his laptop.

Aunty Carolina got to the restaurant and she saw Kelvin already waiting for him, she went to where he was sitting and sit opposite him "sorry for keeping you waiting", she said sitting. "it okay, how was your night?", he asking smiling. "it was okay", she said and the waiter came in, they order some few things and continue their discussion, the waiter soon came in with the food.

They started eating and discussing, a lady just walked in and peck him and left, Aunty Carolina was shocked and she couldn't asked but Kelvin spoke "she is just my friend", he said and continue his food. Carolina lost her appetite and couldn't eat again, everything they discussed doesn't mean anything to her anymore, she just want to go home.

After their meal, Kelvin received a call from the office and decided they leave that they will fixed another date. Kelvin dropped ber off and zoom away in a hurry, when she get home, she was in a bad mood that he ignore Dave's greetings and went straight to her room.

Dave knows her aunty very well, you don't go to her when she is angry so he just decided to ask her later. He just continue eating his food as he wonder what must have provoked her.

Dave decided to just take a walk that night, he dressed up wearing his short and a top, he locked his room and close the main door before leaving. Dave observe that the city is so beautiful in the night with each house and store with different colour of light. Guys sitting with their women in a bar having nice time and some with their friends, he was shocked what he saw at the car park, some guys picking pocket, he was afraid to talk so not to be beating or to endangered himself, he quickly left.

On his way home, he met an old friend Mike, they greet each other, gist for a while, when he was about leaving they exchange contact and they went their separate ways. When Dave got home, he begins to wether how this boys pick pocket without their victims noticing, he later slept off with the thought.

CHAPTER THREE

Dave came into his Aunty room with a tray of food, he finded her still laying down on her bed still sleeping, she tap her and she woke up, when she saw Dave she was happy and hug him. She smile when she see the food "Awww, this is so sweet of you, thank you dear", she said. "you're welcome aunty", he said as he watch his Aunty eating.

Dave came from his room only to see his Aunty watching movies so early in the morning "aunt, you aren't going out with Kelvin today? ", he asked surprised. "no, not today?, just feel like relaxing", she said as she continue starring at the television, Dave sat down looking at his Aunty with surprise.

He remember the question he has be meaning to asked her and thought this was the perfect time "hmmm, aunty", he called "yes", she answered looking at him. "Why were you in a bad mood yesterday?", he asked. "oh, yesterday? no no! it nothing, just some silly guy that annoyed me but Kelvin.... took care of him", she said trying to make Dave believe her as she stand up. "okay....", he said "I will be upstairs, I just need to relax my body", she said and leave while Dave looked at her as she claim the stairs shaking his head.

Aunty Carolina was soliloquizing "who does he think he is? sorry baby she is just a friend, now he is apologizing saying "baby I don't know it will annoy you, I've warned her not to do it again, you know our marriage is around the corner", she mimicked "so you know", she said as she roll round the bed starring up.
