transferring

Laura made up her mind to be brave at her new school although she was timid and often let people bully her ,she had a way of ignoring them which always seemed to be her line of defense against bullies.

Her and her family had finally arrived in New York, she couldn't stop looking out the window as they passed by so many beautiful buildings. not long after, they entered a neighborhood with many mansions she thought it was just a route to their house until the car stopped in front of a white gate where a mansion could clearly be seen inside

"Are you sure we are at the right place" she asked her dad

"yes"he replied and got out of the car, as he walked into the compound Laura followed closely behind him looking at the whole place in an awwww.

When they got into the house she couldn't stop looking around ,the living room alone was the size of our former house she happily ran upstairs to pick a room and she picked the first room because she liked the decorations.

The room was painted dark blue and most of the furniture were painted gold, the room had a walk in closet that was already filled with clothes which clearly looked expensive.

she spent hours trying on the outfits and admiring her self, a knock on the door stopped her from her private red carpet show

"come in" she said as she threw the flower pattern scarf she wore into the closet.

her dad walked in with a smile

"are you enjoying your stay already?"he asked

"kinda"she replied

"that's great because we'll live here permanently"he announced expecting her to shrill with joy but her face turned sad "what's wrong"

"it's nothing I'm just shocked" she lied. even though she liked the house she couldn't predict her school life ,she had always been bullied "what if this time it's worse" she asked herself . she kept pondering on her future in New York when her father broke the silence.

"I have already booked an appointment to sign you into your new school" he told Laura, she scoffed with a little smile on her face.

"they don't book appointments to register in most low earning private schools" her dad wasn't surprised by her words Because she had always attended those kind of schools, he wanted to surpriseher so he didn't say a word and just left .

Laura didn't sleep until midnight as she explored the whole house but when she finally slept she felt relaxed on her soft bed and silk night gown.

The next morning she woke up early , shehad her bath and got dressed in a pair of black jeans, a white crop top and flats. these style of dressing was her usual way of dressing , she liked being comfortable at all times.

she went downstairs where she met her dad and they both drove to her proposed school. The car stopped in front of a huge school building, Laura didn't pay much attention to it until she noticed her dad stepping out of the car and walking into the school environment. she quietly followed him behind until she caught up with him.

"dad what are we doing here"she whispered , he just chuckled and kept walking. when they were inside the school, Laura was surprised at how wide the hallway was ,the lockers alone looked so expensive up. she was sure that this school was either a 4 or 5 star school.

They entered the principal's office ,the principal and her dad exchanged pleasantries and sat they down

Her eyes kept wandering from a spot to another as she made sure not to inspect every corner with her eyes

"Laura" the principal called and she immediately looked at him with her eyebrows unconsciously raised " you've heard all the good things our school has to offer right" the principal asked . even though she didn't hear a single word she nodded her head " since you like it you can start schooling on Monday"he added

We went home and I didn't say a word to dad, I didn't even know how to start asking him about his sudden wealth ,all I could do was to be appreciative
