Alexander Nightingale and Liz Thompson were sitting on a lonely bench in Nightfall Manor's garden, enjoying the gentle glow of the moon. They sat in silence, immersed in their thoughts, the crisp, cool air bearing the aroma of jasmine and roses. They had been skirting the truth for weeks now, trying to avoid the subject that would inevitably come out and cast a cloud over them. However, they realized that the time had come to face the mysteries that had plagued them for so long as they sat under the stars together tonight. Liz's voice faltered with emotion as she stated, "And then, when I saw you standing there, at the altar, I knew that I couldn't keep it a secret any longer." "Alexander, I had to tell you the truth. I had to show you that the love you were looking for was all along right in front of you." There was stillness between them for a minute, a pregnant lull that felt like it would never end. And then Alexander spoke in a dejected manner.His voice was hardly audible above a whisper as he murmured, "Liz, I'm so sorry." "You should have told me to listen. Rather than allowing my pride get in the way, I ought to have followed my intuition." However, Liz shook her head, empathy and understanding shining in her eyes. "Alexander, it's not your fault," she uttered quietly. "Our own suffering and anxiety rendered us both blind. However, now that the truth is known, we can at last move forward—as a team." She then extended her hand to take his, sending a message of support and unity that was far more powerful than any words could have. And they realized they had finally mustered the bravery to as they sat there in the starry garden, their fingers entwined. they realized that they had at last mustered the bravery to face their fate and accept the love that had been waiting for them the entire time.
