Alpha King Dimitrio. Melissa did not inform me that she would be coming to see her mother. I dismount from the powerful beast of a horse, a creature of sinew and strength. The animal’s breath mists in the cool air. In long strides, I move towards the grand entrance of the foyer, eyes scanning for any sign of Melissa. The Arcadian guards, recognizing my authority, instinctively parts to allow me passage. They bow their heads in respect, forming a corridor through which I walk in. As I pass, the guards fall in line behind me, a silent procession that only adds to the gravity of my arrival. I am not here to fight. I just want to make sure that my wife is safe.
