Augustina had continued to act as though she was unaware of Robert Joe's supremacy at the company. One day after a hectic daily routine, Robert Joe stood near Augustina's desk with a warm smile. "Augustina, I hope your day is going very well." Augustina looked up from her work, pleasantly surprised. "Mr. Joe, yes, it's been a productive day. How can I help you?" Robert Joe leaned forward slightly. "Well, it's not work-related, but I was wondering if you'd be interested in joining me for dinner. There's this charming restaurant I think you might enjoy." Augustina was intrigued and a bit surprised. "Dinner? That sounds lovely, but why me?" Robert Joe grinned "Why not you? I've heard about your dedication and the way you've been performing at your job. And again, I find your company delightful, Augustina." Augustina blushed and smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Joe. I would count it as an honor to come with you for dinner. Tell me the venue and at what time?" Robert Joe pulled out a small card from his pocket, "Great! It's a reservation for tomorrow evening at Le Soleil d'Amour, a charming place known for its exquisite cuisine and romantic ambiance. How about 7 pm? Does that work for you?" Augustina said eagerly. "That sounds perfect, Mr. Joe. I'm looking forward to it." Robert Joe said with a warm smile, "As am I, Augustina. I'll see you tomorrow, then." Augustina showed a playful gleam in her eye. "Is there a particular dress code I should keep in mind for this restaurant?" She said. Robert Joe chuckled, "Ah, it's a classy place, so dress comfortably and elegantly. But I'm sure you'd look beautiful no matter what you wear." Augustina was now blushing deeper. "Thank you, Mr. Joe. I won't forget that." With a charming smile "It's a date, then. Until tomorrow, Augustina." Robert Joe said. The night of their date had arrived, and Robert Joe had a plan that he hoped would leave a lasting impression on Augustina. He had carefully considered the location and details, aiming to create a memorable evening. The night of their date had arrived, and Robert Joe had a plan that he hoped would leave a lasting impression on Augustina. He had carefully considered the location and details, aiming to create a memorable evening. As Augustina arrived at the restaurant, being picked up by Robert's driver, her heart raced with a blend of nerves and hope. The soft glow of candlelight greeted her, casting a warm and inviting ambiance, while the sweet scent of roses adorned each table. Standing at the entrance, a warm smile lighted up on Robert's face with a compliment, "Augustina, you look stunning tonight. I'm delighted to see you." Augustina was already blushing, her hazel eyes filled with anticipation. "Thank you, Robert. You look quite dashing as well." Robert Joe offered his arm "Shall we?" Augustina placed her arm in his, and together they made their way to their table. The warmth in their gazes reflects the promise of the evening. The restaurant blew an air of sophistication, and the ambiance seemed to respond to their connection as if it too acknowledged the extraordinary chemistry blossoming in its midst. As they settled into their seats, "I wanted this evening to be special, Augustina. I chose this restaurant for its exquisite cuisine and romantic ambiance, but most importantly, because I wanted our first date to be unforgettable", Robert Joe enthused. Augustina nervously smiled and muttered "Mr. Joe, this place is stunning. Thank you for choosing such a lovely restaurant." "Call me Robert tonight, Augustina. I knew you would like it. It's a special place, and I wanted the memory of our first date to linger on." Robert Joe grinned. Augustina was still blushing, "Robert it is, then. And it's going to be memorable." A waiter, approached with a warm smile, said "Good evening, Mr. Joe. Good evening, madam. Are you ready to make your order?" Robert Joe turned to Augustina, "What would you like, Augustina? Feel free to choose anything you'd like from the menu." Augustina checked through the menu not knowing what to order, "Hmm, I think I'll start with the roasted red pepper and goat cheese salad, and for the main course, the filet mignon, please." Robert Joe nodded to the waiter, "Excellent choices. I'll have the same, please." Haven't jotted down the order, "Two roasted red pepper and goat cheese salads and two filet mignons. Thank you." The waiter went away with the menu. Augustina gently teased "Great minds think alike, I suppose." Smiling warmly, "Indeed they do. So, Augustina, tell me more about yourself. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?", Robert Joe responded. "Well, I enjoy reading, especially classical literature. I also like taking long walks in the park and trying out new dessert recipes. How about you?", Augustina responded. Robert Joe said thoughtfully, "I'm a fan of classical literature as well. I also love going to new places. I have a passion for traveling, and I'm always looking for new adventures." Augustina was enthusiastic in her response, "That sounds amazing! I'd love to hear about some of your travel experiences." The waiter approached their table so that they might place their orders. With each dish, the anticipation for the evening's unfolding story grew. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, a testament to the connection they had discovered at work. Robert Joe asked inquisitively, "Augustina, we've spent so much time working together, but I realize there's still so much I don't know about you. Tell me, what are you passionate about? What makes you come alive?" Augustina answered thoughtfully but enthusiastically, "I have always been attracted to the world of literature and art. There's something magical about how words on a page can carry you to different worlds, and how a canvas can capture the essence of a moment." Robert Joe, after being impressed, "I share your love for the arts. Do you have a favorite author or a specific book that has had a profound impact on you?" Augustina responded reflectively, "Austen Rothy has always held a special place in my heart. Her novels, with their wit and timeless themes, have a way of resonating with me. 'Pride and Prejudice' is a classic, and Elizabeth Bennet is such a strong character." Robert Joe talked in appreciation, "Austen's works are indeed timeless. I've always been drawn to F. Scott Fitzgerald and 'The Great Gatsby.' It's a story that delves into the complexities of fantasies and desires." Augustina nodded in affirmation, "Ah, 'The Great Gatsby' is a masterpiece. The green light at the end of Daisy's dock is a symbol that lingers in the mind long after you've read the book." Robert Joe was very pleased, "You have a keen insight into literature. It's refreshing to meet someone who appreciates these nuances." Their conversation meandered through the labyrinth of shared interests and dreams, creating an unspoken understanding that seemed to deepen with each revelation. Augustina asked curiously, "Robert, what about you? Beyond your business empire, what truly drives you? What's your passion?" Robert Joe glinted, passion being vivid in his eyes. "I believe in positively making an impact on the world generally. Beyond material success, I am dedicated to leaving a legacy that extends beyond me, anything capable of contributing to a better future." Augustina was impressed by his response, "That's a noble ambition, Robert. It's refreshing to meet someone who possesses a deep sense of purpose." Their shared laughter and thoughtful conversations filled the air, and it was as if time itself had slowed down to allow them to savor each moment. As the evening deepened "Augustina, I must admit, I'm enjoying every moment of our time together. It's as if we've known each other for much longer." Robert Joe enthused. Augustina nodded in agreement, her heart fluttering, "I feel the same way, Robert. It's rare to connect with someone so effortlessly." Augustina said after sipping her wine, "You know, Robert, I've always had this fantasy of traveling to a remote island, where it's just me, the sound of the ocean, and a stack of books. No distractions, no worries." Robert Joe agreed. Nodding, "That sounds like a dream. I had a similar fantasy but with a twist. I'd want to be in a secluded mountain cabin, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature, with a grand piano to play my favorite melodies." Augustina was surprised. "You play the piano? That's incredible. I've always been drawn to music but never quite had the talent to create it myself." Robert Joe expressed with modesty, "I'm not a legendary musician, but I find solace in music. It's a way I have discovered of expressing emotions that words can't capture." Augustina reflected on Robert's submission, "It's true. Music has a unique way of touching the soul. Just like books, they have the power to transport you to different worlds."
