Kevin nodded as if he understood. "We've been seeing each other for a few weeks, I figured it would be better, don't you think so?"
She met his gaze and smiled. "I‐"
"Glad, right? His name is Zach, I'm sure you'd love him. I've actually told him a lot about you, I promise you, it's going to be fine. Believe me."
"I can't believe this," she mumbled under her breath.
"What's that?" Kevin asked. Aurelia managed a smile, shaking her head. "Oh, actually... Zach had always wanted a mother since my wife... you know."
The rest of what he was saying faded as she got lost in her thoughts. Now she was pregnant. Lucien and everyone else around her would probably use this baby to try to push her back to him. She couldn’t help but wonder how he’d react, but telling him wasn’t an option. Not yet.
It’s been two days—two days that felt like a nightmare ever since she went to the hospital for checkups. Her nausea was getting worse. Aurelia splashed some water on her face and looked in the mirror. If this keeps up, people are going to figure it out. She covered her mouth and cleaned up before stepping out of the bathroom.
As soon as her eyes landed on her bed, she stopped in her tracks. Lucien was sitting there, waiting. Her breath caught, and she instinctively took a step back, suddenly aware of her skimpy nightdress. How long had he been there? Did he hear her throwing up?
"Did you do something wrong, Princess?" His voice was low and playful.
"No." She took another step back, her hands resting on the table.
"Then why are you shaking?"
“Maybe because you're not supposed to be in my bedroom after you just disappeared without a word or anything..."
"Seems someone missed me," Lucien said. Aurelia looked away, avoiding his gaze. "I'm sorry, I had work in Paris."
"I don't care what you do with your time, but you can't barge in here— how did you even get in?"
"Is that important? I missed you, and you seem to have something to tell me."
Aurelia swallowed hard, her heart racing like it was about to burst out of her chest. Each step she took back felt like it only made Lucien close in even more, his presence were overwhelming. Then, he pulled out a piece of paper, holding it up between his fingers.
She squinted, trying to make sense of it, and when it clicked, her eyes widened in shock—her pregnancy report.
Before she could grab it from him, Lucien was too fast. He held it just out of her reach, and in the same motion, he wrapped his other arm around her waist, pulling her tightly against him.
"That’s quite the reaction," he said, his voice low and teasing. "A second ago, you were shaking. Now look at you." His expression softened even as he kept her close. "You're pregnant?" he searched her eyes for a response.
Heat rose sharply in her chest, and in seconds her defences slammed into place. "It’s not yours."
Lucien’s expression darkened, his gaze sharpening into something dangerous. "Who do you think you’re fooling?"
He lifted her chin. "We—"
"Exactly," he cut her off, his tone turning almost cruel. "We had the best time of our lives, Lia. So good that I didn’t think twice before taking you raw." His grip tightened, his breath hot against her. "You think because I was away for a business trip, I don’t know what’s happening in your life?"
Aurelia pushed at his chest, struggling against him. "Do you really think you’re the only man I’ve been with? The only man I've had s*x with?" She said, hoping to provoke him, but his stupid smile pissed her off.
Lucien’s smirk was maddeningly confident. "What do you think, baby?"
She forced herself to hold his gaze. "Since you know so much. Then, you should that I have a m—"
She didn’t get to finish before his lips crashed against hers, rough and possessive, claiming her in a way that sent fire racing through her veins. She fought against it and against him, but her body betrayed her, moulding into him like it always had, but no, she needed to stand her ground. She bit him.
Lucien pulled back, a drop of blood trailing from his lower lip. Instead of anger, he only smirked, almost too evil.
"You’re joking if you think I’d let another man raise my child." His voice was calm, but his eyes held a mysterious glimmer. "Never, Lia. Even if you don’t want me, I want my baby. I want you."
Her breath came hard and fast. How had she fallen for a man like him? He was insane, possessive, arrogant, completely insufferable yet… Her pulse stuttered as he leaned in again, his fingers ghosting down her arms.
"What do you love about him?" Lucien murmured, his lips just inches from hers. "Kevin Bentley. Is he nice, baby? Or sweet?" His voice dropped lower almost to a whisper. "Is it nice and sweet you want, Lia?"
A shiver ran through her.
"I know you," Lucien continued, his fingers tracing the side of her wrist.
"You know nothing about me."
"You don’t want nice and sweet. You want something that makes your pulse race. Something that makes your eyes roll back." He replied, not giving her a chance to speak.
Aurelia’s heart slammed against her ribs, her entire body betraying her. His words pulled at her heartstrings.
"You want me." His voice was blaring in her ears. "You know. I can give you that. I can give you wealth, security—" His lips grazed the shell of her ear. "And I can make you come harder than anyone ever will. You're mine, princess because I'm not going to let you go."
Her breath twitched. She hated that he was right. She hated that; even now, she ached for him.
Aurelia’s heart thumped in her chest, threatening to break loose as his fingers traced her arms slowly.
Her eyes held his. "What we had was nothing. This baby isn't yours and I'd never be yours. We are divorced, you seem to forget that too." Her voice came out rough with a menacing edge.
Lucien’s voice was low and rough with possession. "Let me remind you again how you ended up carrying my baby, princess. And who you really belong to."
His hands cupped her face in position. He nipped at her neck, his lips brushing further until he took her lips, inhaling deeply and kissing her hard.
"No!" Aurelia fought, but he kissed her again. This time harder and deeper until her eyes closed, giving in completely. His hands were all over her body, pulling her even deeper. Lucien broke the kiss, breathlessly craning his tongue toward her ear.
Then, his fingers slowly trailed beneath her skirt. Aurelia’s breath caught in her throat. She gripped his wrist, but it wasn’t to stop him. Her chest rose and fell, her cheeks flushing as warmth pooled low in her belly.
"If you tell me to stop, I will, princess," he murmured, voice wicked, dark and tempting.
Aurelia looked up at him, lips parting. She should push him away. She should say no. But something burned inside her telling otherwise. Ever since that night, she had craved him.
"No." Her voice failed her. She could only gasp as his fingers inched closer, brushing over her soaked panties. The contact sent a shudder through her body. Lucien’s smirk was full of wicked satisfaction as he slid his fingers back and forth, teasing her.
Her legs trembled, giving way beneath her, but he caught her effortlessly, lifting her onto the edge of the desk. His eyes flicked up, catching the way her lips quivered as she tried to suppress a moan.
"Look at you," he murmured, brushing his nose along her jaw. "Trying so hard to stay quiet. Please, let me hear you, baby."
Aurelia shattered as his fingers pushed her panties aside, stroking her bare heat. A soft whimper escaped her lips, and Lucien swallowed it with a kiss deep and claiming, his tongue tangling with hers as his fingers slipped inside her.
Aurelia clutched at his shoulders, nails digging into his skin. Her body betrayed her completely. She was drowning in him. The wet sound of his fingers thrusting inside her filled the air, mixed with her gasps.
Lucien pressed his forehead against hers, his breath ragged. "You’re dripping for me, princess. Divorced, huh? You're dripping for someone you claimed to have divorced. You look so beautiful for him right now."
Aurelia whimpered as he added a second finger, curling them, hitting the spot that made her body jolt. She arched against him, her moans growing louder.
"That’s it, Princess," he whispered, his tone both gentle and commanding. "Come for me. Bless my f*****g fingers."
The pressure built unbearably fast. Her legs shook, her grip tightening on him as waves of pleasure crashed over her.
"There it is," Lucien groaned, watching her unravel. Her back arched, her mouth parting in a silent scream as her orgasm hit like a wave. "Good girl."
Aurelia’s body trembled, gasping for air as she calmed down. Shame gnawed at her, but Lucien didn’t give her a chance to dwell on it. He kissed her cheek, his voice softer now. "Are you okay?"
She nodded weakly, unable to meet his eyes.
"Good," he murmured. Then, before she could protest, he spun her around and bent her over the bed.
"Lucien—" Her voice faltered as she felt him unfastening his belt, the hard length of him pressing against her drenched core. He traced his c**k along her slit, teasing her, making her whimper.
"You got me so f*****g hard, princess. What are we gonna do about it?" He smirked, his deep voice sending shivers through her. "Should I stop?"
Aurelia squeezed her eyes shut, her body betraying her again as it trembled in anticipation.
"If you won’t tell me to stop," he continued, teasing her entrance with agonizing slowness, "then you might as well beg for it."
Her pride warred with her desire, but the throbbing need inside her was unbearable. She wanted it.
"I want it," she whispered.
"What was that?" Lucien taunted, rolling his hips just enough to make her gasp.
"Lucien," she moaned his name, and he snapped.
"Say it properly," he demanded, his breath hot against her ear. "You might as well say it by its name if you want it inside of you."
Aurelia swallowed hard. There was no use pretending anymore. He had already broken her. They say when you have s*x once, you can't go back to being a virgin. He wanted to taste it again.
"Please, Lucien," she panted. "I want your c**k inside me."
A dark groan rumbled from his chest. He gripped her wrists behind her back, his other hand spreading her open. "That’s my good girl."
Then, with a sharp thrust, he buried himself inside her, stretching her completely.
Aurelia cried out, her body moulding to him. The only one who ever truly owned her.
