I turned to look at Ethan and narrowed my eyes.
“If you aren’t genuinely interested in my daughter, then you need to step away from her before it’s too late. I don’t want her getting married to someone who isn’t 100% interested,” I told him firmly. As much as I knew it would hurt her if Ethan were to walk away right now, it would only be worse if they got married and he ended up hurting her later. I don’t think she would be able to survive that.
