Chapter Four
X looks me up and down, his gaze appreciative as it burns a path over my skin. “That was a nasty trick you pulled, leaving me up here like that,” he says. The hunger in his eyes stokes my fires.
“Well, I didn’t want you to think I got down like that. We had just met,” I say moving slowly towards him
He watches, eyes dark.
“And now?” He quirks a brow. Stares harder.
His gaze is primal, and so seductive I shiver. But I want to play this cool. Want him to know I’m sophisticated enough to play this game. “Now I think we know each other a little better,” I say, the bat of my eyelashes exaggerated. “But I’m not sure.” All I really know is that I want to know him better.
