Chapter Nine Shandy’s isn’t nearly as busy as Kelly’s. It’s more out of the way and not as many people know about it. That’s why I chose it. Not too many eyes to see dark deeds. There aren’t many lights, just a few pendants hanging over the bar, a fluorescent fixture over the pool table and a couple soft lamps on the booth tables. But this isn’t a place people come for ambiance. It’s more for privacy and a nice quiet drink. I walk inside, and look around for him. It would be a shame if he didn’t show up. I only saw him once, so I start to wonder if I will even recognize him, but then I see those eyes looking at me from the bar.
