Chapter ElevenBryan turned away from the chaos that filled the streets around him, his hand firmly in Sahara's. Her eyes watched everything, and she was bristling with anger, not all of it her own. Her amped up senses were being fed by the crowd's heightened emotions and even though Bryan was trying to shield her, the input was nearly overwhelming. They had left Chicago when it was clear that Alaric wasn't going to listen to reason and had disappeared behind an impenetrable shield. They'd only gotten as far as Indianapolis, which was where they were when the news came that the President had signed the bill requiring all Shades to be registered, effective immediately.
