Around noon, Rene came to Giovanna with bad news. The website of her company had been hacked, and no one on their team could handle it.
If the hackers stole their information, the losses would be immense.
Giovanna quickly gathered her things to head out, only to run into Yolanda.
Yolanda's expression was stern and her tone was authoritative. "Where do you think you're going during work hours?"
"I need to go out for something crucial. Dock my pay if you have to," Giovanna said, trying to walk past her.
Yolanda couldn't just let her go so easily, and she yelled, "Giovanna, stop right there!"
Giovanna took a sigh and turned back. "I really have an emergency. Can I explain later?"
"No way. It's work hours. You're not going anywhere. Get back to your desk."
