When Giovanna returned, she was immediately summoned to Yolanda's office.
She wasn't worried about getting her pay docked. Even if Yolanda withheld half a year's salary, it wouldn't matter to her.
To her surprise, Yolanda just gave her a cold look. "Since this is your first offense, I won't hold it against you. Docking your pay is pointless. If you run out of money, you'd still rely on my brother."
But Giovanna knew Yolanda wasn't going to let it slide so easily.
Giovanna didn't beat about the bush. "Just tell me what you want."
With a fake smile, Yolanda said, "I can't explain to the other employees without some punishment to you. There's a negotiation for a partnership tonight, and I want you to handle it. Whether or not you can close the deal is up to you."
