"I'm just a little curious about some of your friends. What does Donovan do for a living?" Antonio asked.
He could totally tell that Donovan's identity was more complicated than it seemed. The way he looked at Giovanna made it obvious that he had a thing for her, but it was clear that she didn't feel the same way.
Giovanna leaned closer, pulling him by his tie, and a scent unique to him filled the air.
"Why bother asking? You would go and find out yourself anyway, right?" she asked, her tone laced with disdain.
She released him and turned away, striding out of the restaurant, leaving Antonio standing there, stunned. He became increasingly certain that Giovanna was no ordinary woman.
He pulled out his phone. "Dig into Donovan Hawn for me," he instructed.
