"Didn't you say you didn't want to get Grandma a present?"
Antonio remembered clearly that Giovanna didn't bother to curry favor. He had already prepared himself to protect her.
He just didn't expect her to surprise him like this.
Giovanna shrugged nonchalantly. "I decided on the spur of the moment."
"Really? Didn't that old collector charge you? He just gave it to you because you saved him?" Antonio obviously didn't believe Giovanna's words, but he couldn't do anything about her.
Giovanna asked, "Do you think antiques are more valuable than human life?"
If she hadn't helped, the collector could very well have died on the spot, without even a chance to go to the hospital.
"Babe, you're really amazing. You saved his life." Antonio bent down, a thick smile on his face.
