When I heard her voice on the other side of the glass, I couldn’t believe it.
Her slurred words told me she’d had way too much to drink.
Anger rumbled in my chest, but when I heard what she was asking for, something in me softened.
It was obvious William had set this up.
He’d probably figured out I was here; he’s damn good at dodging things when he wants to.
I listened to that little request and a twisted smile tugged at my lips.
