Chapter 21 Tom turned up his collar against the cold morning. After almost two years, he still wasn’t used to the bleak British weather. He lit a cigarette, and walked past the stores and camp cinema and sickbay, until he reached the officers’ mess. Why had Flight Commander Percy Donovan summoned his pilots there on a Sunday morning? The radio was turned up loud, and tuned to the BBC. ‘Righto chaps.
