Chapter 1:Realization

(KATE'S POV)

"we really shouldn't have done this it's a mistake and we were drunk"

Kate woke up in the morning found herself in Daniel's bed covered only in his white sheets, her messy hair spread on his pillow. Kate quickly got off the bed reaching for her clothes "yes I agree we were drunk but we both consented and we're adults Kate we can do whatever we want"

Daniel got up from his bed covered in nothing but traces of Kate's manicure scratches from last night's steamy events. Kate finally looked at Daniel and froze,her eyes traveling from his broad shoulders to his muscled tattooed arms,his chest looked like he had enough time to go to the gym,his abs had traces of her scratches and his manhood stood tall calling to her."touch it" Daniel slowly moved closer to Kate moving like a predator hunting it's prey "Kate"

Daniel's voice came out more like a low whisper in Kate's ear ,he was now close his lips next to her ear his breath moving to Kate's ear and neck.

"Daniel" Kate said but it came out more like a moan.

*Ring ring*

a sound of a phone echoed in the room,Daniel quickly moved from Kate to answer his phone,Kate suddenly felt cold and came back to her senses. Kate quickly dressed up feeling a mixture of feelings she hadn't felt in a very long time.

"let me drive you home Kate " Daniel said leading Kate to his car, Kate opened the door and sat quietly in the passenger's seat,she was exhausted but she refused to let herself sleep.

The drive to her house was long she lived 31 km away from him. The drive was long and quiet filled with unspoken words and unmistakable desire. Kate's phone lit up with a text (Kate I'll be landing tomorrow morning so exycited to spend time with all of you). Kate's breath hitched up she suddenly felt Suffocate and dizzy and the she blacked out.

(KATE'S POV)

I woke up feeling light until the memories of what happened came flooding in my mind

"Damn he really is one sexy man" I said to myself.

"Maybe it was just a dream ,I have to get up" I thought to myself . sitting up from my bed I looked at the time and it was only 2pm and I had nothing to do so I laid in bed thinking of first time I met Daniel.

(The past)

It was on a week day a very quiet week day ,I was with Nelly my cousin we had just bought our beverages and wanted to cool off ,I was dressed up in my denim shorts and my white v neckline tank top skin showing enough to leave it to imagination my cousin was dressed in the dress I had given her it looked better on her it was a yellow short floral dress .

"sheeesh I'm burning up "I said while waving a portable fan on my face ,my eyes closed the cool air from the fan brushing my melanin skin ,my skin glossy with sweat

"so hot" Nelly said with a bit more of a flirtatious ring to it.

"Yes it's Hot" I said still minding my own business.

"oh my that means we have the same taste" Nelly giggle,that statement alone made me realize that Nelly and I were Talking about different things and before I could even ask her I heard a voice.

"Hey laddies mind if I join you" that voice I know that voice from anywhere it's him,my nemesis Daniel

(THIRD PERSON POV)

Kate looked up to be met my Daniel's intense gaze,he stared at her his eyes traveling from her big brown eyes to her cute small nose to her full lips glistening with lip gloss.

Daniel's eyes moved to her full 38D cup breast's and her chubby tummy and full thighs he looked into her eyes again only to realize she was frowing looking at him so he tried to distract himself from falling deep into her eyes he sat down and made a conversation with Kate and Nelly.

"You know Daniel I really don't have to speak to you " Kate said rolling her eyes at Daniel.

A small smile found it's way to Daniel's lip but he quickly composed himself and looked at Nelly.

"Well you don't have to but you can at least listen to me when I speak after all not everything is about you Kate" Nelly smiled and looked at Daniel getting closer to him ,brushing the tip of her finger on his tattooed arms.

"Daniel would you mind taking a look at my car for me my engine has been making weird sounds" Nelly said with a flirtatious voice batting her lashes at Daniel,Kate at the other hand laughed to herself at how desperate Nelly acted.

"I will check out your engine Nelly just text me the time " Daniel said looking at Kate this time brushing the side of Kate's hand while reaching for Nelly's phone, he put his number in Nelly's phone and left.

"What a d**k" Kate complained gathering her things and her phone rang,when she looked at her phone the named on the screen appeared and it was her uncle Dominic calling,Kate was surprised because Dominic never called her unless it was business or important.

"Hi what a surprise getting a call from you it must be my lucky day" Kate said teasing .

"Well can't I call my favorite niece " Dominic said laughing. Dominic was a tall man fair skin,clean cut with a clean connecting beard, he was also 4 years older than Kate .

"Anyway I called you because I need to tell you to stay away from that Johnson boy" Dominic was known to always get straight to the point.

"You mean Daniel Johnson,well relax Nic I would never even want him close considering he is the competition "Kate's relationship with her uncle Dominic was different from her family even though Dominic was actually adopted by her grandparents at a young age but they were always close more like brother and sister or even twins,they understood each other sometimes it even seemed like they could read each other's minds.

"Look I wouldn't be telling you this but you know I care about you, since the incident with Jacob your Father has people following you around but before they report to him the report to me so I would advise you to stay away from trouble baby girl" Kate felt a sting of pain piercing through her heart, she felt something she thought she had long forgotten,It was grieve.

(The Present)

(Nelly's POV)

"Oh my Gosh Dominic I've missed you all so much look at you aging you look so old" I've never really understood uncle Dominic he has always been closer to Kate,it is not a surprise because Kate grew up living with our grandparents and shortly after they adopted Dominic as their son.

"And you look...different ,older" Dominic was always sarcastic that's one thing we have in common,and we never seem to see eye to eye.

"Well I'm glad you're here uncle Dominic where is Kate" I said placing my bags inside the house and hanging my jacket.

"Kate is upstairs resting,do not disturb"

I'm not surprised by Dominic's overprotective behavior towards Kate their relationship is more of a twin type of relationship.

"Kate,Kate get down here right this minute" I called out to Kate at the top of my lungs ,I looked at Dominic and he was annoyed as expected.

(Dominic's POV)

Seeing Nelly after everything she put Kate through has got to be the most hardest part about today's day
