Becky's POV...
Daniel was so excited for Christmas he had decorated the apartment with anything and everything Christmassy. The tree I took charge of as I wanted it to look a certain way but Daniel lifted Bella up so she could top it with the star. This was our first Christmas as a family I wanted it to be perfect.
We were heading to Daniel's parents house tonight as it was Christmas eve, we were going to have a little party before all the excitement of tomorrow. When we arrived with Amanda and David everyone else was already there, we went straight into the dinning room where all the food was laid out in a buffet style so we could pick and choose leisurely.
We all chatted about tomorrow together the kids disappeared into the playroom that Mr and Mrs Smith had in their mansion. A little bit later the kids were all tucked up in bed excited for Santa's visit. All the adults were getting set up placing the presents under the trees and making sure that all the food was ready to go. We then retired to the living room to watch Christmas classics with the fireplace crackling. I was feeling really overwhelmed lately so I decided to leave the room and go outside in the back garden for a while.
Daniel's POV...
We were all in the living room watching Christmas classics by the fireplace I was slowly nodding off during home alone but was startled when I noticed Becky getting up and heading towards the backdoor. I wondered why she was going out there she would get cold if she spent too long out there. I gave it a couple minutes then decided to go and make sure she was okay.
When I made my way outside I saw her sat on the steps that led to the lawn. It wasn't until I got closer that I realised she was crying, I had no idea what was upsetting her I thought Christmas was going to cheer her up I guess not.
I went and sat next to her and pulled her into my arms and asked her what was wrong. She told me that she missed her family. I had no idea she barely spoke about them so I asked her to tell me about them. She said her mum died roughly when she was 10 and her dad when she first met Jordan 6 years ago. She told me how great they were and that Christmas was their favourite time of year which is why she always thought about them especially during this time.
She told me that she had a brother out there somewhere but hadn't spoken to him for a while. He had no idea what she had gone through let alone that he had a niece out there. I asked her she wanted me to help her find him, that seemed to put a smile on her face for a while. It was going to be hard but if this was what she wanted then I would try my very best to make it happen.
We went inside after and let everyone know that we were going to go to bed. David stopped me before I left the room to ask if everything was okay. I loved how much he and Amanda cared for Becky he was glad she had somewhat of a family to support her. Then everyone else went to bed eager for the events of tomorrow.
Morning came around fast, Becky was already awake and dressed and it was barely 7 in the morning. What I didn't know was that Bella had been awake since 5 so excited for her first Christmas with me. Bella was dressed matching her mummy they both looked beautiful and ready for the day ahead. I got dressed and met them downstairs, we were joined by my parents and David and Amanda in the kitchen drinking hot chocolate.
An hour later Scarlet, Jason and the boys made their way down rather noisily. All we were waiting on were Nathan, Lottie and Isla-May. When they had finally emerged we decided it was time for presents. The boys were eager to open theirs first so did. Then it was Isla-May's turn well Lottie opened them all for her as she couldn't but it was still her turn. Next was Bella she had got lots of toys from everyone and some lovely dresses. I had got her a bit of everything but her main present had just arrived I went to answer the door to bring it in. I opened the box and there he was our new puppy Max a German shepherd.
Bella was excited and so happy that she began crying. She had always wanted a Dog so I decided to make her dreams come true and I knew Becky would appreciate the company as she was at home a lot at the moment. They were both in Aw of him. Everyone else moved on to open their presents then it was mine and Becky's turn. I decided to let her go first as it was a big one.
I took her outside to show her the car I had brought for her it was a Mercedes A-Class Hatchback which meant that it was perfectly safe for Bella as it had seats in the back and 5 doors so no faffing about with moving seats to get her in and out. Becky seemed to love it and I was glad. I know she could drive but she never had enough money to own a car so I thought I would change that. She looked so grateful. She also looked a little guilty. I asked why she said I only got you something small I feel bad now.
I told her that I would probably love whatever she bought me so she shouldn't worry. We returned back to the front room where everyone was sitting. It was my turn Bella had got me a mug and T-shirt that said world's best Daddy on it, it made me smile so hard it was one of the most thoughtful gift I had ever received.
Then Becky handed me a bag with what seemed like a rectangle shaped present in. I immediately went to open it and what I saw when I did made me cry. It was a photo of Bella and I cuddled up asleep on one side then on the other a picture of Becky and I snuggled up on a bench in the park and in the middle a picture of the three of us with the heading my family on it. It was a small simple gift yet it meant that absolute world to me. I kissed Becky so hard that she nearly fell over.
After presents it was dinner time or well lunch but you know what I mean. Everyone was having a blast even little Isla-May. Becky had offered for Lottie to have a break from holding her while she ate so Becky held Isla and rocked her to sleep.
This image gave me the idea what would it be like to have a baby together. I know we had Bella and I loved her deeply but I wanted us to have more babies. Maybe when we get married. When the day ended we all went our separate ways.
Daniel and I had decided to spend Boxing day just the three of us. Spending much needed quality time together as well as settling Max into his new home and Becky getting used to her knew car. Most of all I was excited to spend time with Becky and make sure she had enjoyed Christmas this year.
I wondered if she wanted to visit her parents gave on and we could make a little trip of it and maybe see if we could locate her brother. She thought it was a great idea and said we should go on the 27th of December and be back for new years eve. This would be our first trip away as a family and I couldn't wait but I wanted us to go on a proper holiday in the summer somewhere hot where Bella could visit the beach.
