Your girlfriend

Becky's POV...
"Hi everyone" I greeted whilst Bella just smiled and waved. Everyone was just staring at us both at us three in fact, but like a light they changed to beaming smiles and people making their way towards us. I got chatting with his brother Nathan and Lottie his wife they were so nice and Lottie asked me advice on having a little girl as she was expecting one. We grew really close in the evening Nathan told me so many embarrassing stories about Daniel and I couldn't help but chuckle at each and every one.
Bella was shy to start with but took a liking to Nathan. I then moved on to Scarlet and Jason congratulated them on their several years of marriage and met their twin boys. They took a liking to Bella as well and soon I lost her I got so worried but when I saw that she was playing with them I was so happy. Last but not least Daniel's parents I was avoiding them like the plague I was so nervous I couldn't seem to move towards them but Daniel told me that I shouldn't worry so much that they would be fine.
They made their way towards us I greeted them and introduced myself properly they asked me what I did and obviously I was worried what they would think of me so I paused for a while but Daniel answered for me telling them exactly what I did and they seemed happy and asked if I was a good baker and I laughed and replied with a yes rather too excitedly. As the night went on I really needed to get off my foot I was feeling slight pain but I didn't want to pull Daniel away from his friends.
I began to move rather slowly when Nathan saw my struggle he rushed to me and guided me towards a chair, I thanked him and asked him if he could keep me company while Daniel was occupied. "So you're Daniel's girlfriend are you?" he asked. "well we are seeing how we go". I replied cautiously. "well either way I am glad Daniel has someone like you in his life you seem to be having quite the impact on him, in a good way." I couldn't help but smile to myself.
I stayed sat down for a while to rest and eventually Bella made her way back to me climbing onto my lap and snuggling in. We sat and talked about the twins until she got rather tired and fell asleep cuddled up to me. I sat there quite content watching as people enjoyed the party. Lottie then joined me resting her swollen ankles. she saw Bella asleep and smiled she told me how excited she was to meet her little one. I told her that she was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. We decided to swap numbers and arrange to meet up during the week possibly for lunch.
Bella was a really deep sleeper tonight all the music and talking did not unsettle her. Daniel eventually caught a glimpse of my position and the look in his eyes just said I am sorry in them. He made his way over and kissed both mine and Bella's foreheads and whispered in my ear asking whether I wanted to leave or not. I didn't want to be rude but I wanted to get Bella to bed, it was a busy night for her seeing so many people. I told him that I wanted to go and he picked Bella up and carried her out towards his family.
We explained that Bella was tired and we needed to get her into bed asap. They all understood and asked us to join them for dinner next Friday I agreed on all of our behalf to be polite. Once we were all buckled into the car I decided now was the perfect time to talk to Daniel about what he said at the party. "Daniel why did you say I was your girlfriend to your family" I asked.
Daniel's POV....
"Daniel why did you say I was your girlfriend to your family?" Becky asked me. "Because I feel as though you are but I really should have asked you before I said that. so how about I ask you that now?" " Okay" she responded. "Becky we have grown incredibly close over a short amount of time, I have grown incredibly fond of Bella and really think I might love you, will you be my girlfriend Becky Adams?". "Yes of course I will, also I love you too" she screamed. I was so worried that she would wake Bella but luckily she was so tired nothing seemed to be waking her up tonight. I held onto Becky's hand whilst driving to my penthouse. I didn't want to let go but I did need to change gear at some point.
When we arrived at my penthouse I helped Becky out with her crutches then went to the back to grab Bella's sleeping form. I placed Bella in her room and tucked her in kissing her forehead and Becky then did the same. We went to the living room to cuddle watching TV. She rested her head on my chest while I stroked her hair. This felt so right. I know we were moving fast but I wanted to spend every night like this but I know that was way too soon for her.
I knew she was not ready for that. We fell asleep on the sofa that night. I woke up at 3 am with a sore back and decided to carry Becky to her room so she could sleep more comfortably. My girlfriend was so beautiful. My god I could not get over saying that I have a girlfriend. I tucked her in and went to leave the room but the sneaky little thing was awake and grabbed my arm and pulled me back on the bed with her. She asked me to stay with her, she claimed she slept better when she was snuggled up to me. So I gave in.
I climbed in and to be honest I think I need more snuggles more than she did. I definitely did sleep better when she was by my side. I am so glad that I bumped into her in the café. I mean I wish I didn't physically bump into her as I caused her to fracture her ankle but I am glad I met her when I did. I had a thought something Bella had mentioned to me earlier today tomorrow was Becky's birthday and I wanted to do something special for her, I wanted to show her how much I cared for her.
I know she didn't want anything too extreme but I wanted to show her that she meant a lot to me and wanted to give her a day to celebrate her and I know Bella would help me with the surprise that I had decided to plan. Flowers and plenty of chocolates would be a start, I grabbed my phone and started ordering things. Bella was my secret weapon if anyone knew Becky it was her.
I decided I would call Mr and Mrs Jones in the morning to organise a little something for Becky. I was excited but also nervous this was the first birthday I was going to get to spend with my girlfriend. Bella was going to need to wake up early in order to help me prepare a birthday breakfast and online shopping for gift as I didn't want Becky to catch on to what we were preparing.
Tomorrow I hope goes well not for my sake but Becky's sake. I wanted her to have a good birthday and not have to worry about anything what so ever. My girlfriend is going to have a magical day I just hope I can pull it off the way I want to.
