Viktoria covered he mouth from screaming as she watched a total stranger who was intent on protecting her, even giving his life for that reason , she watched as Jake charged into the three of them, she knew how good he could fight but his opponents she had no clue, Jake shouldered one with a surprising force that sent the man flying, crashing into a car, Jake spun mid-air to avoid a charge of another from the sky like an animal, those three were fighting like animals, Jake was strong enough to hold them, and fast enough to avoid been surrounded, one caught Jake from behind z the other two lurched for Jake with fists ready, he somersaulted, his two legs slapping the under jaw of both of them, smashing the head of one who held him, any hunan's head would have been crushed but not them, they snarled angered and frustrated, "you are quite a fighter boy, let's see how you can take this", the leader said and tore his clothes, gross!!!, She looked away but looked back when the man started making strange sounds, Jake must know what it is because he charged and slapped the man with a powerful kick, sending him to the sky, so high, her jaws dropped open, the ground shook we the man landed unmovable, the other two seeing their leader down roared and before her eyes they transformed into beasts and pounced on Jake whose speed suddenly felt slow,she couldn't follow the movement of their attacks, it was faster than the eye could see, all of a sudden one appeared in front of her, she screamed loudly in fright falling back, the beast roared and raised a hand to claw her, Jake appeared with a silver sword cutting off the head of the beast, "are you okay?" He turned to ask a part of his mask was torn revealing the well chiseled jaw behind he was bleeding from the head, in fact he was bleeding all over, she looked at his sword hand to see trickles of blood and the sword barely staying in his hand, she didn't know when tears escaped her eyes, why would someone be so willing to die for someone you barely know. "Jake you really don't have to do this for me", she pleaded, "you should listen to her Jake " came the voice of the leader, he wasn't died only knocked out, this is hopeless, even her could see it, " I'm still standing likins and protecting the inferior ones is my sole duty as One of the Twelve", there was a stunned look on the faces of the men, whatever Jake had meant by that meant a big deal. One of the Twelve??.." I knew it from the moment I met you, u are really strong" the leader replied and underwent his transformation and this time he was bigger, meaner looking and he had red-spotted eyes. "An alpha" Jake whispered horror, she was scared at how Jake was suddenly trembling, this was beyond him, she could tell, she has to help him, she got up and placed a hand on his shoulder, something was happening, a great white light shines from the spot , she held on knowing whatever she was doing, knowing she was infusing strength into Jake, "thank you Viktoria" he called her name for the first time and then returned to battle, with the speed of light he charged back, gripping his sword with both hands, he went straight for the alpha, coming with a thrust, the alpha came at him on all fours, "ROOAARR!!!" He shrieked and dived in for the thrust, he found his mark but the Likin stabbed him back, he groaned in agony at the pain but he held on to the Likin's arm as his clone appeared out of thin air and decapitated the beast from behind, he panted loosing a lot of blood by the minute, his fight wasn't still over, even though he had managed to defeat an alpha, there's still one more,the last shrieked tearing the silence of the night, she wondered how the neighborhood sleeps through it, vengeance written all over his face he tried to stand from where he layed, his sword felt so heavy he couldn't lift it, the other one had left into the air to end him, he closed his eyes embarrassing his inevitable death.

"Jake!!" She screamed for help as the Likin set to devour him laying helplessly on the ground she has never seen anyone so brave and daring but what was he?, And where on earth were this paranormals coming from, what did they esnyt from her, a great force of wind came, so mightily it lifted her off her feet smashing into a wall as her world went black.

Viktoria opened her eyes to see daylight peering through her window, she took a moment to get her bearing before standing up from her bed, she heard loud sirens in the background, what was going on?, She went to her window and saw the neighborhood in chaos, people milling around and the cops stopping the crowd, journalist taking shots, what's going on??, She walked out of her room, through the corridor to the sitting room, to see someone with her parents, he was gray-haired and dressed in black suits. Black suits!!. It triggered the memory of last night, Jake,"Jake, where is he!?" She asked the man in suits, "Please calm down, Miss Luken, I'm Chancellor Shepherd" the old man introduced himself. Shepherd she heard that name from those Likins. "It's you" she replied crossly, "honey do you know the Chancellor?", Her mom asked, "I've heard of him" she replied and sat beside her parents with the Chancellor sitting opposite them with a bright smile on his face

"As you well know I'm Chancellor Shepherd of the school for the gifted a school specialized for kids, teenagers who have special abilities. " Are you saying our daughter has special abilities?" Mr. Luken asked proudly.
