Chapter 9. training

The alpha kicks the bathroom door in and his eyes are glowing red. I back up until my legs hit the edge of the bath. The growl that left him has made me shake with fear. I watch as he approaches me and my legs wobble and fall out from under me but but Jaxson catches me and everything goes black.

when I wake up Mia is asleep in the chair in the corner of the room. I look around the unfamiliar room which boasts a chest of drawers with a mirror and two bedside tables. There are two doors and I hope one is a bathroom.

I go to the door to my left and slowly turn the handle. Thank God it's the bathroom. My bladder feels like it's about to burst and i close the door a little to hard lock it and rush to the toilet to pee. I head back out to the room and Mia is sitting on the bed waiting for me. I give her a small smile, i walk over to the bed and take a seat beside her.

" I'm so sorry Mia, i should never have tried to leave without saying good bye."

" I understand now, i really do. But i just wish you didn't have to leave."

I sigh and look at her. " I have decided to stay if it's still ok with alpha Jaxson."

She squeals and throws her arms around me squeezing me tightly.

" Hey don't get too excited. There's a condition."

" Anything you want you got it i promise Angel."

" How about i tell you first before you agree to anything."

She nods her head in agreement with a huge grin on her face.

" You have to promise me that Alpha Jaxson and you will not interfere with the blue moon pack."

She tries to argue with me on my decision but I won't have a bar of it. It's my way or i leave simple.

" This is my fight to fight no one else's. You have to understand."

" Let me talk to the alpha. I'll be back as soon as i can."

I find my bag sitting by the door i assume leads from the room. I grab my clothes and head for a shower. I dress in a pair of black three quarter leggings and a hot pink singlet that stops at my hips. I brush my hair and pull it into a ponytail on top of my head.

I take a seat in the chair and put my socks and sneakers on and wait for Mia's return. I must have dozed off. Before i know it i'm standing by a stream with my mother.

" Mum, is it really you,"

My mother turns to me but there is something different about her. My mother is not the same weak woman I met for the first time. She excludes power and dominance. The power coming from her scares me. My mother turns to me with a soft smile and love in her eyes.

" Angel, my sweet daughter. I need you to listen to me. You need to stay with Alpha Jaxson and accept him as your mate."

The tears pool in my eyes and i look to the ground. " I can't mum, I'm sorry but I won't have a mate"

I feel the angre radiate from my mother and i drop to the ground at her power.

" I'm sorry to do this Angel but you need to listen. This isn't just about you anymore it's about every shape shifter out there. This war that is coming will not only wipe out every wolf but every bear, cougar and lion shifters will cease to exist. Our world as we know it will no longer be."

I look up to my mother but she is gone, the next thing i know Mia rushes through the door rushing to me.

" Jaxson has agreed. He said you need to be trained by is best solider so when your feeling upto to let me know and ill show you to training gym."

" I'm ready to train now, take me."

I watch her eyes cloud over and i know she is linking with someone. She lets me know the trainer will meet us there and we leave the room. We walk out in to the corridor walk a few feet before walking down two flights of stairs. Once we make it to the bottom i can tell we are in the pack house. we walk out through the foyer to the front porch. We make our way to a training ground with a big gym built to the side. We make our way inside and his scent hits my nose. He turns to face me in a pair of shorts with all his sexy chest showing. Every part of his chest and torso rippled with muscles. He walks over with a sexy grin on his face.

" Like what you see."

Just as he said it he flexed his pecs and my eyes betrayed me and started stairing again.

I feel the blush spread across my face and drop my head to the ground. I clear my throat.

" Um i'm here to see my trainer"

" Your looking at him. I'm the best fighter here so its best i train you and teach you things they only teach at alpha training."

I sigh, and look at him with a forced smile.

" Fine."

I walk over and wait on the mat for Jaxson. Once Mia leaves he joins me on the mat. Jaxson shows me a few self defence moves. We start by teaching me how to throw a punch and kick properly. Once I got those down he taught me how to block attacks. I did pretty well for my first training, If i do say so myself. I wanted to spar the Alpha but he says i need a few months to train first, spoil sport. I really wanted to put him on his arse but he knows i can fight he has seen it first hand.

I stay and train myself for an hour when i decide to find Mia and see what she is up to later. I really need to let loose for a while. I head towards the packhouse when a group of four girls stop me. The blonde in the middle who i assume is the leader was the first to speak and i knew straight away i hit the nail on the head.

" Stay away from Jaxson, i am his chosen mate. He just asked me now."

I watch the smug smile appear on her face and i know she is full of s**t. So i thought i'd play along.

" You know he only chose you because his fated mate is planning on rehim."

I hear all four girls gasp in unison. I watch them look back and forth to each other with shocked expressions on their faces. Then out of nowhere they all burst out laughing.

" Yeah right, like you would know you have been here all of five minutes. Like you would know if his mate rejected him your not even apart of this pack."

" Well i guess you will find out when i reject him."

I turn and head back in the direction i just came from. I only make it a few steps when i'm yanked back by my hair. I grit my teeth and spin on her punching her in the face. She falls to the ground holding her nose trying to stop the bleeding her friends search there bags for something to give her when the Alpha hands her a hankicheif.

The blonde whines and puts the blame on me but the alpha cuts her off.

" I saw everything Chole and you started it."

She ums and ahs at the alpha but he shuts her up with his alpha auroa and she whimpers and takes a step back.

" Now Angel, What happened."

" Nothing i cant take care of alpha. I can handle myself, i think of sll people you know that."

Jaxson turns to the one he called Chole, the blonde.

" Tell me what you said to angel now>" He growls. I watch as Chole whimpers and i know he forcing her to speak using his alpha auroa.

" I told her to stay away from you and that you just chose me as your choosen mate. But she said you only picked me because your fated mate is going to reject you, She was going to reject you.

Jaxson lets out a roar and grabs Chole by her throat pinning her to the large oak tree that stood behind her.

" I have warned you time and time again, if my Angel rejects me then i will acept my fate and die i will not chose another for a mate."

I mind link my beta Mia to escort these four girls down to the dungeon as soon as i have Angel back at the packhouse. I'll deal with them later.

Alpha Jaxson walked me to my room. I thanked him and closed the door behind me. I lean my back against the door and i can sense him on the other side. He stays for about five minutes before i can feel him leave and i feel lonely but i can't be with anyone either.

I decide against finding Mia and head for a shower. Once i finish in the shower i climb in to bed and let sleep take me.

I'm running in the forest when i come to clearing . I can see alpha Jaxson on his knees in front of the blue moon packs alpha, alpha Blake.

I watch in horror as Blake pulls his arms above his head when i spot the silver sword. He brings it down on Jaxsons neck severing his head. I watch the figure of girl in the crowd fall to her knees. A few moments later her lifeless body falls to the ground. I take a few steps forward and i see her. It's me laying on the ground, dead. I watch my mother fall to her knees and hold me in her arms. I watch her say something to me but i can't hear, so i move closer. Thats when i hear her.

" I told you it would be bad if you rejected your mate."

This is the outcome of me rejecting my mate.

I watch in silence as the rest of the pack is slaughtered right in frony of me. My mother is the only one left alive but not for long.

She stands there why Blake walks up to her swinging his sword and cutting her in half from the torso.

I startle awake just as my mother falls to the ground. I'm panting and covered in sweat.

I sit up straight and i know what i need to do.
