1*His Unwanted Mate*

Ravine Gomez: I was struggling to free myself and breathe, but it was too late. “Now die in peace,” I heard her voice, followed by a chuckle from the man behind me while my body collapsed on the floor and I no longer could feel my heartbeat. But then, A slow beat revived my heart. My body jolted awake. I opened my eyes and found myself standing in a completely unfamiliar environment. There was no storm, there was no darkness. Even the day wasn’t what it was supposed to be. “Ravine! Get out of the way,” a fading voice cropped up coherently just as the blurriness petered out. Before I could grab my senses and acknowledge what was happening, a grasp against my arm pulled me out of the way of my mate carrying a young girl in his arms. I ran reconnaissance before moving a muscle and freeing my hand with a gentle nudge to the person holding me. Slowly and steadily, reality started setting in. I was here at this moment, Again! “Did you not hear when my brother was calling your name?” Vania yelled from afar before her steps even receded closer. The person stepping back and away from me was my mate’s mother. “What is going on?” I asked myself, looking around to get a better idea of what kind of nightmare I was having this time? “Hello!” Vania hollered and winced for my attention, but I was too occupied fathoming my presence here that moment. Soon I came about with the factuality of it. It was no nightmare. In fact, it was my wedding night. The night when I was supposed to finish the mating ceremony with the love of my life. We had all returned from my mating ceremony and then I saw my mate rushing into our bedroom with the she-wolf in his arms. I was still standing in the foyer of my mansion wearing a white gown and holding white daisies, as I expected to be welcomed like a princess from fairytales. “Let’s go see if he needs our help.” It was then my mate’s mother grabbed her daughter’s hand and strolled past me to check up on my mate, Dominique Dagger. A lot of things happening around dumbfounded me. Especially, the strong feeling of déjà vu that I couldn’t shrug off. It was as if I knew what was going to happen next. “No! What is going on? How am I here? I have already lived this day and suffered.” I was feeling weak in my knees as my mind questioned my own existence in this time and frame. The mansion belonged to me; the pack belonged to me and so did my body. Then why did I feel misfit in that time? Something didn’t fit right. That was the night I married my best friend Dominique Dagger, who promised he would keep me safe and take care of my pack as if it’s his own, even when he lost his pack to a rogue war. The same night before the marking ceremony, Dom had professed his unconditional love for me. I was a daughter of the late Alpha Hans Gomez, who died defending his pack in a war against the rogues. I was left with my mother till I turned 17 and then she too met her maker. My pack grew out of taking care of me, but I never let them have anybody else become the Alpha of the pack. I was the rightful heir and an Alpha She-wolf. The pack belonged to me and I stick stubbornly. Although the problem lied with me not having my wolf, I believed in myself still called myself an Alpha. I would have lost my pack, The Flaming Crescent Moon, had Dominique not stepped in at the right time and told the others off. We were childhood friends and his support helped me keep my pack. The werewolf council of elders only agreed that I will retain the pack and the status if I marry an Alpha and he opts to minister to the welfare of the pack. Dominique, during that time, had already lost his pack and proposed to me, so it turned into a flawless beat for us. Taking slow and steady steps leading to my room, I watched Dom holding hands with this girl and nuzzling them between his hands to wake her up. She was resting in my bed, the one where I was going to mate with Dom tonight. The instant I zeroed in on the girl’s face, I remembered all the horrible things she’d done to me. It was then that reality came into existence and I nodded to myself being here again. I was thrown back into the past. The Moon Goddess gave me a second chance to put it back together and repair where it all went wrong, and I ended up miserably dead. I was born again in the past and this time, I was given a lead with acknowledgement of future actions. “Is she going to be okay?” Vania’s harsh accent took me out of my thoughts and I perceived I had to act differently from the last time. “What is going on here?” my question was received with mixed reactions. “Why do you ask? Don’t you see your mate all worked up?” his mother stepped ahead to answer me instead of letting my husband speak to me. “That’s why I want to know. Why is my mate so concerned about her?” I would usually just step back like a scared chicken, but this day felt weird. I was not the same. I was ready to fight as much as I could. His mother, Lady Helen, was disgusted. His sister, Vania, looked exhausted at me and my mate scowled a bit. Dom contracted his eyebrows, eyeing the others to leave us alone for a little while. “Do you mind getting away from her?” I was the one who had to step ahead and close the door after us so we could survive the peeping Tom and curious George while we discussed things. “Ravine, what is the matter with you? Do you not remember her?” He hadn’t unlocked his eyebrows and the wrinkling of his nose when talking to me made me ill at ease. “I know who she is. I just don’t understand why you have to sit in the bed and hold hands with her?” I questioned his actions towards the girl sleeping peacefully in my bed after she became the reason that I had to relive my life again. The girl in the bed was an Omega she-wolf: Gina Geller! She was my mate’s true mate.
