Chloe.
Crescent Moon pack, I have heard so many rumors about the pack that belongs to Lycan’s and the formidable ruler who is famously known as, “The Beast”.
The man is a killing machine. He would kill anyone that so much as breathes wrong around him and it doesn’t help matters that he had recently lost his mate and family in a cash crash. He is the only surviving member of his blood line and, for that reason, he has been quite brutal for the past few years.
I heard he cuts off the fingers of anyone that steals from him, orders his chefs to fry it and then force the victim to eat it.
I call the perpetrators victims because a man like the Lycan king could never be the victim in any scenario.
I might have heard a million scary things about him, but I never imagined in all my years on earth that he would be sitting directly in front of me in a limousine,
For my own safety, I dare not speak. I do not want to draw his attention, neither do I wish to die. I can’t really explain what came over me that made me take his hand back at the house, but I am certain that I am not safe with him.
The feeling I felt back at the house has disappeared and in its place is fear, slowly creeping up my body and taking control of my senses.
I feel so numb.
We remain silent until the driver announces that we’ve arrived. Shortly after, the door opens and he steps out. I follow after him, instantly.
The grand staircase that leads up into the pack house is so mesmerizing that I spend my time carefully taking each step. The interior, on the other hand, is much more breathtaking than the exterior.
It’s so obvious in how my expression changes as soon as we step into the house.
He still doesn’t say anything to me, he just goes about talking to the servants and anyone else that has something to say to him. I get so tired of standing around and waiting for him to tell me what to do so I decide to put on my big girl’s pants and get it done.
“Thanks for saving me, but I have to go home now.” I announced as I watched him for some sort of reaction, but he didn’t even spare me a glance.
There is no response from him, he keeps talking to the servants as if he hadn't said anything. Then I notice that it’s not just him, everyone else in the large living room space is acting like I am not there.
So I just turned around to leave. I twisted the door knob and try to open the door but it didn’t open, because it is locked.
How is that possible? We just walked right through the door. My palms are now covered in dried blood and the painful throbbing is still there.
The more I rattle the door, and it doesn’t open, the more I panic.
“Hey! Let me out of here!” I slammed my fist on the door angrily and yell at the top of my lungs but there is no response.
“Next time, you don’t give your hand to a stranger or jump into his car.” I snap at Grey and she doesn’t respond either.
It’s impossible. She didn’t just abandon me in a time like this.
“What do you think you’re doing?” The stranger's calm, cool voice came from behind me and I freeze. I turn around slowly and put on my best smile.
“I want…I want to go home.” I stammered.
His eyes are staring right into mine and his lips are set in a thin line, he looks pissed.
“Go home?” He scoffs, right before his look turns menacing, “did you forget about the deal you made?”
“Deal? What deal?” I was already panicking and nervously pulling on my fingers.
“You took my hand, remember? I saved you from whatever was going on back in that house and you don’t get too leave until you meet up with your own end of the deal.”
“My own end of the deal? I am sorry, I don’t…”
“A baby Chloe. I want a baby, and you agreed to that.”
What! I stared at him, dumbfounded. Wait…he wasn’t kidding when he talked about the baby?
“I never agreed to anything.” I jumped to my defense.
“You took my hand.”
“How does that mean I agreed to the deal ”
“To you, it might not, but to me, it means you agreed to give me a child and till then, you cannot leave this house.”
This guy is definitely delusional! He has no idea what he is talking about. When did I ever agree to any of that?
“And what if I don’t agree?” I took a defensive stance against him.
He just stares me down and chuckles dryly.
“You don’t have a choice, Chloe. Just in case you haven’t heard, I do not give people second chances, and you are no different, my dear.”
“I am not your dear.” I snap, angrily, and he grins.
“Seems like I found a feisty one. That would be good genes for my son.” He remarked with a grin and I run a hand over my face in exasperation.
The man is practically getting under my skin, and it’s beginning to piss me off. Why can’t he just let me go?
“Listen, I get that you’re a big shot and all, and I really appreciate what you did for me back at the house, but I can’t have a baby for you. It’s impossible.”
“Whoever said it's impossible?”
“Because we actually have to have s*x to make a baby and there is no way I am going to sleep with a stranger.”
He doesn’t respond, he just takes a few steps and rapidly eats up the distance between us. There’s no way to run to, the door is locked and there’s no door close to me, so I am trapped between him and the large doors.
“If you’re so desperate to leave, then don’t you think it’s time we get started so we can put it all behind us as soon a possible?”
“What?”
“Don’t worry, the contract is being drawn up as we say, so you don’t have to worry about the payment and your safety.”
“What the f**k are you talking about?”
I am about to slam my fist on his chest, but he grips my arm midair and, without another word, he picks me up and tosses me across his shoulder with such ease that I begin to question the size of my body.
“Let me go right now!” I thrashed around and try my best to get away from him but it didn’t work.
He does not let me down until we’re in a room that looks more like his because of the large portrait of him hanging over the wall and the thick scent of his perfume hanging over the room.
He lets me down gently on the bed and I immediately scoot away from him.
“You’re insane if you think that I would just let you sleep with me. Whatever trick you’re playing is obviously not working, so just let me go.” I cried out loud.
“But that’s the problem, Chloe…you’re going to want me and I don’t have to trick you into doing anything.”
The fact that he is still calm regardless of everything is eerie and disturbing.
“Please, just send me home.” I decided to take another route and plead with him. Maybe that would work better on a man like him.
But even that, did not work.
“I’ll tell you what, Chloe. If you get pregnant before the end of the month, then I would let you...”
“I am not a baby making factory.” I yelled at him, cutting him off.
His expression darkens and the amused glint in his eyes disappears instantly.
I feel a shiver race down my spine as he approaches me.
Before I could scamper away, his hand wraps around my neck and pulls me closer to him.
“That’s what you are Chloe-a baby-making factory, and if you don’t do just as I say, you’re going to regret everything. Trust me when I say anything.”
He no longer has a cool and calm expression. He looks way scarier than he did back at the house and it is obvious in his eyes that he isn’t bluffing about making me regret it.
“Does my face not look familiar?” He acts coldly, “don’t you remember me? How can you not remember the man you shamelessly f****d in a bar four years ago.”
Four years ago?
A loud gasp slid through my lips as the memories of that night comes rushing back.
