Tap tap tap The lab brightened up sequentially as the steps of Rex shoes against the metallic lab floor Echoed. Various machineries and electronic screens flickered to life with a low hum. Rex's face was clearly lined with irritation, brows scrunched up, lips pressed into a line. Brown eyes behind the red less glasses held bubbling fury. He had barely slept when this 'b***h' woke him up from his dream land. In front of him on a white metallic chair that could also suffice as a surgical chair bearing multiple mechanical arms attached behind the rest. A pretty figure-all blood, beaten and battered with cute lining her Spandex suit that hugged her seductive curves that failed to trigger Rex, but anger him even more. To him, someone this beautiful without any artificial modifications -all natural. Had to be from a huge force or family and coupled with their sorry state, it wasn't hard to connect the dots. Yes, he was a bit powerful and could defend himself. But if any of those huge forces found him, they could squash him like an ant- a small fry in their books. Now such a ticking time bomb, was in his house and had drawn him out of sleep Anyone in his shoes will be stressed out. He was racking his brain for solution " Could he just dump her anywhere far away from her?" "No Rex that is not ladylike- " f**k lady likeness!! My life is at stake here, maybe I should just give her a couple of sleeper shots and dumpers somewhere....anywhere. As long as it's not here and can't be traced back to me. He didn't want trouble in his first month of transmigration. He didn't want no cliche storyline befalling his head. Like those fictions ' Protagonists help a young lady to heal from her sickness, but instead of gratification is met with insults. And unfortunately the young lady is from a powerful clan, while the protagonist is a small fry in the grand scheme of things. He is chased and injured on the verge of death he found a sword spirit that promised to heal is meridians-cut! He didn't want to be on the receiving end of that. Yes is had a golden finger, but that was for him to enjoy is life. Not to fight a swam of powerful figures. A level 1 fighting against a level 10. Can't get anymore cliche He had barely enjoyed him self talking less of fighting some world ending villain. "Sigh! Jax what do you think" he a self acclaimed genius, has fried his brain and overloaded is think faculty. No wonder men turned on women and started loving each other-it was freaking exhausting. [Sir I according to our subject right here and the knowledge I have of this world, this lady isn't from a top family or any force. There are no high-end gadgets or tools protecting her life. Even if she had been betrayed or plotted against, she would have been equipped with high end cyberware or tool to preserve her life] [Our subject here shows none of that. Not even a beacon to alert the family of her location. Additionally her cybernetics are not exclusive to any force and do not bear any mark for recognition. No my conclusion is she is a among the following 1. A wanderer: because of her questionable origin 2. Deserters: factoring in her beauty, she could be from a force, but have been ousted or disowned 3. A merc: from my scans, she has an high end neural interface capable of neural breach and override possibly a net runner] ".........." Rex fell into an elongated silence as the electronic voice of Jax rang through his neural interface. Rex couldn't become so speechless right now, his codes were shooting him in the foot It felt like after you spent a hundred pages solving a problem in the exam and get the right answer you are sure of only for the lecturer to come in and say "The question was wrong" it would drive anybody insane and the most infuriating part about that was you could do anything Could you beat him for the mistakes? Try and not get suspended the next day, or worse expelled "......so you are telling me while I have been deliberating for 30 minutes on how to get rid of my-our problem, you had the answer all along?...." He was freaking pissed [You didn't ask for clarification sir and I can't introduce an idea without order. It goes against my code Secondly, technically I am bound to you so we are one] "Arrghh fine, wake her up" he said rubbing his temple trying to calm the headache that threatened to drive him crazy. On the mechanical chair that held the sleeping beauty, Jax released a joint of electricity that could wake up a normal person Zzzzts Rex "......" Jax "......" [Sir, according to my scans she is badly injured and will need some medications to heal her wound. Forceful waking her up, could damage her already injured body or worse result into her demise] Rex "....." At this point, couldn't count how many times he has been rendered speechless. Without a word clad in his pristine white lab coat, he stepped forward slipping on some gloves. With a thought the chair swerved towards the medical table littered with various instruments. With a flip of his hand, a glass bottle with glittering golden fluid inside. This was a healing potion from the system. Grabbing an injector shaped like a nail gun, with a Small glass cylinder attached to the rear. Screwing the lid open he poured the healing potion in sealing it shut. Turning to our subject, he injected the fluid with a surgical rhythm except for his eyes behind the Len that held lingering irritation.. Tossing the gun on the surgical table, unclipped his gloves as they flew into the trash can {Poor gloves 。•́︿•̀。} He stood back hand akimbo waiting for the magic to happen. About a dozen seconds later, our subject steered awake a cute moan escaping her luscious lips. .....Rebecca POV..... In the dark void I felt life tricking away with every second Despair filled my heart, was this how I was going to die? From blood loss? Not even under an enemy's pistol? At least that was a bit honorable. I was drowning Sinking The stale smell of death filled my nostrils as death wrapped his chilling arms around me. Drawing me deeper But suddenly a small white dot appeared, at first I thought I was seeing things. But gradually it expanded and filled my whole vision as I woke up I struggled to adapt to the sudden brightness My thoughts felt slow and draggy My mind groggy "Where am i?"
