Kade's POV
We stood up on the stage as the pack members all stared at us, wanting to hear the update on the whole rogue situation. I stood besides Melissa, a little bit farther way from our guys who were up at the podiums talking. I twirled my engagement ring around my finger as I zoned out on the crowd while Cody talked about something that I wasn't listening down.
Melissa took me out of my trance when she lightly tapped my shoulder. I looked over at her, standing up straight when I see her looking nervous as she scans the crowd. She looks up at me, biting her lip. “What if we have to fight with the rogue pack?”
I give her a confused look. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, there's been times in the past where our pack had to go against other packs in battle, what if that happens this time?
