The tension in the room is palpable. I stand in my study, flanked by Aiden and my servant. The news of Stephanie’s sudden departure has thrown everything into chaos, and the imminent arrival of the Alpha King’s Beta, Darius, only heightens the sense of urgency.
“What now, Alpha? I think we are gonna be cooked this time, seriously,” Aiden says, his voice tinged with fear. His eyes dart around the room, unable to hide his anxiety.
“Calm down, Aiden,” I say firmly, my tone steady. “Let me think.”
Despite the turmoil, my mind works swiftly, piecing together a plan. As an Alpha, my composure is paramount. My intelligence and decisiveness have always been my strengths, and now more than ever, I need to rely on them.
