Zoe's POV,
I was so nervous doing the spell on Asher as I didn't want to hurt him, although I knew the spell caused pain and could sometimes fry the mind if the person wasn't strong enough. But I knew he would survive; he's an Alpha, and he's from a strong bloodline.
I started the spell and noticed Asher didn't even make a noise. However, as the spell went on, Asher started moving. I could feel the spell weakening me. I tried to stop it from hurting him, but there was no way around it—no loopholes, nothing.
All of a sudden, the window blew open, and a breeze came in, allowing a figure to stand in front of Asher and me. It was his mum.
"I knew you could do it," she said, looking at me.
Leo and Logan said, "Mum."
I couldn't believe it; the spell worked, but why? What did she want?
