Aurelia went on to describe their first meeting as magical. Something out of this world and phenomenal. She still remembered the day of her supposed engagement when the man whose name she didn't remember failed to show up.
Alex came up to her like a prince, took her by the hand and helped her get over the embarrassing situation of being stranded.
"This sounds fishy. Why didn't you try to dig deeper?" Quinn asked.
"Because my father wanted to establish a business relationship. My entire wedding was basically a business deal. The partner changed to a better one so why wouldn't he agree? Who doesn't know Alex Weston? People were clamouring to be that close to him. We were getting it for free so why not?"
Quinn huffed, "Fair enough. Money rules everything."
"It does," Aurelia agreed.
