I could see the startled look on her face the moment we walked into her room. She seemed panicked and scared, like she had just seen ghosts, while her eyes darted between the three of us. “What…” she stuttered, unable to complete her words. I watched her swallow nervously and look around the room as if she was searching for a way to escape, but there was none except for the doors which my brothers and I had blocked.
“Mate!” My wolf howled loudly in my head, and my frown deepened. I was still finding it hard to believe she was our mate. What was the moon goddess thinking?
