Alpha Darin’s POV
As we watched her eat, I could feel my heart fluttering in my chest. I had grown to love and cherish this lady so much that I feared what would become of me if something happened to her. After she finished eating, another injection was administered to her, and within a few seconds, she fell asleep.
“This is to calm her brain,” the doctor said, and Darwin and I nodded. “You can leave, Alphas; her private nurse will take care of her. She won’t be awake until late tonight or possibly tomorrow morning,” the doctor explained as Darwin and I exchanged glances before nodding and leaving the room.
Back in the car, I sat in the driver's seat while Darwin sat beside me. The drive was silent as we both pondered our own thoughts and the drastic decision we had made.
