Asher started pacing, his movements jerky and agitated. The words came faster now, tumbling over each other in a frantic stream. "I gave you everything. The bond, my name, protection. A home. Status. And you threw it away for him." He spun to face me, his eyes wild. "For that… that bleeding heart alpha who thinks he can change the world.
