17 “You know,” Fiona nibbled on a fried chicken leg and then waved it at Shane. “You look kind of fierce. If that alleyway hadn't been so dark, I think you could've frightened that guy off.” They sat in the KFC, chowing down while the baby slept peacefully, curled up in the blanket beside Fiona in the well-padded booth. “Thanks…I think.” Shane muttered and kicked at the beam beneath the table.
