Seraphina breathes deeply, her eyes closed, and lays her hands on the injured child and speaks strange foreign words quietly, she smiles slightly and opens her eyes. “You’re alright now kiddo, you can move your arm now.” She says, patting her head. The little girl got into a road accident and broke her arm, luckily Sera was near the scene. The little girl smiled brightly after moving her hand. “Thank you, Ms. Sera.” She hugs Sera tightly, Sera hugs her back. “Now run along, mother must be looking for you, don't keep her waiting.” Seraphina says gently, the little girl nods and leaves. “My lady, if you are done, can we go? Your mother must be waiting, you do know about the meeting.” Said Lala, her friend and acolyte, standing behind her. Seraphina sighs, turns around, her gold eyes glistening, returning to its normal hazel eyes, it happens when she uses her powers. “Okay, okay, I'm coming. Let's go.” She mumbled loud enough for Lala to hear. They arrived at the Nightshade Dominion, a hidden witch realm wrapped in ancient magic and mysterious twilight. Dark forest surrounds it, at its heart stands ancient carved stones glowing with living magical powers. It is a beautiful but dangerous place, ruled by the mistress of the veil, Virelle Nyx. Everyone calls her the mistress or witch mother. Seraphina heads into Virelle’s chambers, Virelle's in a quiet, dimly lit room, with candles, magic symbols glowing silently. Virelle already knows she is coming, and waits for her talk. “Mother, can I come in?” Asked Sera, politely. “Come in, Phina.” Replied Virelle, a nickname she gave to Seraphina, everyone else called her Sera. Sera comes in, her arms behind her back hiding something. Virelle senses it, “What are you hiding behind you?” She says gently. Sera smiles, and gives her a book. Virelle smiled slightly, she looked at the book cover, “Behind the shadows” was written on it. “Phina, you didn't have to.” Sera seats across her, “It's nothing, mother. Lala told me you called for me.” Virelle put the book on her desk, her expression changed, she became serious, straightforward. “Sera, I saw something about you, ever since I saw you that day, there have been visions about you. And there was one that disturbed me the most because it is showing more frequently these days.” Sera became worried, ”What is it, mother?” “You were born a hybrid, Phina but your witch side is more dominant due to the powers inside of you. But you also have a wolf inside of you, a rather powerful one too.” Virelle stated. “Has she been speaking with you?” Virelle asked. Sera sighs quietly, her wolf hasn't spoken to her for a long while now, she feels her but she is very quiet. Sera says,”No, Boa hasn't said anything to me, I'm worried about her, mother. It's been very long since she spoke.” Her face worried. “That's because your other side is showing itself more, it is dominating. And because of that, you will not have a mate, a werewolf mate.” Virelle said. Sera's eyes widened,”What?! So Boa might never talk to me again?” For some reason she felt her heart shut. She held her chest, breathing heavily. Virelle whispers silently and touches her chest, “You're okay, Phina. Breathe girl.” Sera begins to calm down, but she no longer feels her wolf. It felt like Boa shutted her out, “I can't feel her presence again, mother. What's happening? Boa is… she is… gone.” Her voice cracked, her head down. Virelle is still as calm as ever. “Phina, you have to accept this, it has always been a prophecy, it's been a long time since I saw this vision, Mother Selora, rest her soul, also had the prophecy.” Sera looked up at her. “What! And you're just telling me this now, why, mother?” Shock and sadness written all over her face. She continued “Yes, when I saw it too, I told her but she said to wait till you could bear the weight of the prophecy.” Virelle sighs deeply, contemplating whether to tell her about the mission. Sera, although her expression was sullen, noticed Virelle’s distress, even though she was putting on a calm composure. “What is it, mother?” She asked slowly, “What's wrong? Is there more?” She became worried. “I really don't want to put this on you, especially after revealing the visions to you, but you are the best and only person for the job, and it will put your powers to good use.” She continued,” But I'm not sure you are ready yet.” “Well, just tell me, you already told me Boa might never speak or come out again so let's hear the rest of it, I don't believe it's bigger than what I just heard. Speak, mother.” Sera says flatly. She thought to herself that even if there is more, it couldn't be compared to losing a part of her. “We’ve been informed as of late that the werewolves are holding a meeting, and the meeting is between the three most powerful kingdoms who hold power in all of the wolves territory.” She starts, stands up and waves her hand slowly, a paper appears. She began to read the contents of the paper to Sera. “The Nightfang Kingdom is leading this meeting and they're seeking to form an alliance and the cause of their gathering is because of the witches.” Sera’s face darkened, the witches had just had a recent development of shape shifting into the werewolves, and they could only put it to good use if the werewolves were isolated and not together. But if they're planning to form an alliance against the witches, they must be onto us. Sera breathes deeply, stands up to face Virelle, “What are we going to do mother, this is going to be bad for us?” “I'm sorry, Sera. But unfortunately this falls on you, we’re planning a counterattack against the werewolves too, we are planning to infiltrate the meeting as one of them.” “Isn't that too risky, besides they have started to figure out that we can change into one of them.” She said, deadpanned. She placed her hands on Sera’s shoulder and looked into her eyes, “That's where you come in, we have to use spells to cover our scent, because the spells can't last for too long so we could get exposed.” “You're one of them, I know you are worried about Boa, but she is still in there, and you have a wolf inside you, besides with your powers, you're perfect for this mission, we don't have to worry about making spells to cover you up.” She said calmly. “I don't want to be one of them.” Sera replied seriously. The thought of even going into their territory made her feel irritated, not scared. “You won't be, but you have to be for the sake of the mission besides you are more drawn to us, so you will always come back to us.” “We need you, and I know you’ve been wanting to do something for the clan, here is your chance, but it's your choice, Phina.” She says, and leaves. Sera didn't want to go for the mission not because she couldn't but mainly because she didn't want to be involved with the werewolves. But, if it is something she has to do to prove her worth to the clan and to finally be accepted fully into the coven, she will go for it, no matter what.
